So Boston flooding.. now Baltimore and DC. ****.. the other day they had the damn Beltway and a bunch of main roads blocked off... took an extra hour to get to work... and the worse part was.. the crews weren't even detouring people... were just letting them get lost in random neighborhoods trying to find a way way around... only to come back out where they started!!.. there were old ladies on the side of the roads with hand-written signs warning the incoming traffic!! Smiley: motz
God forbid some REAL disaaster were to happen around here.. it would indeed be every dog for themselves, I guaruntee.

so anyone else up for building an Ark?

Mine is about halfway completed. However, instead of loading areas for animals, I plan on adding a dance floor and a hot tub

Someone is always one step ahead

I saw another article on this in Maxim a while back. The boat is pretty freakin' big, although not as big as the original is claimed to be.

Most of New Jersey is also under a flood watch. Should be a fun night and interesting Wednesday commute.

So which would people rather have. The heat of 108 degrees we're having in the Southwest/West or the flooding of apparently biblical proportions?

Metro Center was awesome.

There is nothing like seeing Mr and Mrs Tourist clutching their children in terror as chaotic masses of lost and/or stranded commuters try to figure out why the hell the trains are going in the wrong directions.

As for the humidity, a friend of mine had his bathroom sink just fall off the wall because the wall was so saturated from the rain and humidity.

You'd think Bush was enough fun for DC; I guess good ol' Pat sent his Biblical floods to wash all us Washingtonians away.

It's considerably more humid down here in Westchester than it was at any point in the North Country (except for certain storms). Thank God this place has lots of air conditioners.

You mean where Bam Margera is from? That's West Chester, a town in Pennsylvania. I'm in Westchester County, New York, just north of NYC. It's mostly a lot of towns and suburban areas crammed close together, which is overtaken by a more uniform urban sprawl as you get further south into areas like White Plains and Yonkers.

The first one was the one I've seen. I forgot his name, but yeah, Bam, that's it.
