Not sure, exactly. She says it's "not bad", but in the past three weeks, her son has been harassed by gang members three times, and by the cops twice, once outside the church the Mass is at. She's put her house on the market b/c she wants to get the heck out.

Maybe if you didn't whine about it on the forum every day. Smiley: wink

Maybe if I didn't whine about it every day, what? It wouldn't be dangerous? Rest assured, tricksy, if it were in a college 'hood, I'd be all over it. Smiley: laugh

Have you met her son? Maybe it's just the way he handles himself that would get attention by gang members AND cops. If she told you that "her son is an angel", well...not exactly something I beleive without proof from a mom. (No offence to mommies out there.)

That, and the neighboorhood can't be that bad. If it's worse than Liberty City in Miami, then ok; but we're talking about random gun fire being considered part of the 'norm' here.

No, but maybe people would be more intimidated as you thought they would be.

Now, if you wanted to complain about the commute to & from Joliet, that I can sympathize with.

Or 3/4ths of a Dos Equis, perfect for a Quinceanera.

Edit: how did I get double quotes?
