That's great!

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

Meh. Show was mediocre. Everytime I heard the one-eyed ***** talk I just kept think about Christina Applegate. That was the highlight of the show really.

Different strokes and all that.

I thought it was better than pretty much the past decade of the Simpsons. Family Guy was good (haven't seen the episodes since its return) but in a different way. Futurama tried to have coherant plots and work its humor around that, Family Guy was/is a string of rapid-fire pop culture references glued together by a thin string.* But then, I was never a fan of South Park for much of its run and people think that's the funniest thing since sliced bread slipped on a banana peel so...

Plus, I still refer to any two incompetant people as "Wingus & Dingus" Smiley: grin

*Not really an original thought since I've seen it said before but accurate in my opinion

Futurama is one of the few shows on permarotation on my DVR. When it first aired on Fox I wasn't really impressed. but after watching most of the episodes on my DVR I've come to realize its just really hit or miss. Some episodes are mediocre but some of them are really good. If you have a DVR or are up late at night I suggest heading on over to Cartoon Network and catching a few.

Fianlly they are brining it back. Thats great news! I've been obssessed with it since it first came out. I've also heard a rumor they are making three movie length episodes too. But then again we've heard tonnes of romors about Futurama.

And I repeat...meh.

I am not saying that the show was not well written, because it was written extremely well. It's just not funny.

If by "many a year" you mean writer for 2.5 years, main writer for probably 1 year.

That aside...Smiley: confusedSmiley: confused I know what those words mean but that post doesn't make sense.

Maybe they will give Futurama more comedic freedom on Comedy Central, therefore making it more edgy. The original had its funny moments, I suppose, but it was never "must see TV".
