Frak, go up a bit and see where I wrote the first no to you? Reread the rest of the post, ok? And my tude is me, not my emotional feeling of the workings of the gear. Got a problem with that? Huh? HUH?

No I wouldn't. I would be too excited about my new boobs to have time to be angry.

I just get a kick out of the fact that the forums have been on the fitz pretty badly for the past few days, but as a non premium member, I do notice the ads have NO problem getting through, even when you cant use the site. How is it that they can get through to advertise on a broken server when forum posters can not use it?

1- Ads are served out from remote hosts
2- The server that does the redirecting, for some reason, never gets DOSed.. for some reason, people tend to go after the front page servers or the forun servers.. I wonder why!

Came home when I was 8 months pregnant and the utter shock on his face when he saw me waddling down the hall was priceless. His jaw literally went Smiley: jawdrop.

Please stop. I don't have any more time to take off work, and I can't afford to run home to the bathroom right now.

What's going on at the moment is that basically the forum is useing 3 or 4 dedicated server clusters, and one of them is having serious issues intermittantly. We are trying to keep it up rather than loseing a whole other server in addition to the ones already down. The forum component itself loads inside a page generated by one of the primary site servers. Those servers, which also drive the rest of the site, are not haivng issues.

So what happens is the top page section module, which either displays "welcome whoeveryouare" or ads is loading fine, then the forum page load triggers, and depending on what cluster you are on, may or may not load fine. Illia is working on it

In addition to all this, we are still at this point on the old ISP. The new ISP is located on the west coast. so we need to physically get the servers over there somehow. I vote for chartering an airplane, assuming I get to ride in it, but at the moment we're still ont eh crappy mom and pop ISP connection, and down 2 servers from where we were pre merger. The dozen or so new servers are being delivered to the new ISP, not the old one, so until we move, things will continue to suck.

Sorry.

Meh, the board has always been shaky. That's part of the "charm" around here.

Dammit, you're supposed to be a man! You're letting the side down by taking responsibility! Blame someone else, lie and/or make feeble excuses like the rest of us!

Thanks for the information

He did, he just didn't want to admit that one of the server gerbils sprained an ankle.
