that I continue to get a lot of the following:

[an error occurred while processing this directive]
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, illia@allakhazam.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

However, the ads on the top of the page have no problem refreshing whatsoever.

I got a second redirect ad, it loaded a full page add with a link to continue to allakhazam.com. I might have to renew premium just to get rid of that s[Aliceblue][/Aliceblue]hit.

No. I dont talk and talk and then not walk the walk. While it may be an inconvenience for me, I made astatement and Im still waiting for more information until or if I renew. Im not jumping on the premium bandwago over a minor inconveinence.

Besides, if I paid for premium and still had these issues, Id be more than just slightly annoyed.

I figure its paying for Illia to change the format so we can no longer rate down admins when the site starts flubbing up.

I just get a kick out of the fact that the forums have been on the fitz pretty badly for the past few days, but as a non premium member, I do notice the ads have NO problem getting through, even when you cant use the site. How is it that they can get through to advertise on a broken server when forum posters can not use it?

I'm no code monkey but I reckon the resources needed to present/display the forum and posts takes a little more muscle than crappy flash adds.

but arent the ads another way to pay for the smoothness that is supposed ot be the forums?
#20 Jun 19 2006 at 12:21 PM Rating: Good
Ads like that usually are not served from the servers of the site you are at. They are merely referenced to in the page, and when said page is rended a HTTP.GET call is made to the "outside" webserver. It is entirley logical and normal for a website that's having database issues to still dispaly it's ads correctly since they are not stored in house.

But yeah, get premium and it'll all go away...

no

Besides, if it really bothered me I would post this in the forum feedback. It was just something I noticed thought was amusing. Not the fact that the forums are not working well lately, but the ad thing.

Besides, if I had premium I wouldnt have been able to share this with you all and waste some of your time =)

You'd be angry too if you had a parasite living inside you.
