Ok, I just got FFXI for my 360 and I started playing it. Unfortunatly my stupid sister had to move my xbox and it caused my disc to be scratched. After that point I have not been able to play FFXI, it keeps saying to "put this disc into a xbox 360. My question is, can I play FFXI and go on play online viewer without the disc like on the PS2 (yes I used to have thia game).

Yes, but you have to insert the USB cord into your ****.

Yes, but you have to mod your box. Open up the top, look on the left side of the board inside for a small blue cylinder with wires on it. Cut that off the board and it should be fine.

Make sure the power to the 360 is on when you do this, so the processor can reroute the extra power when you do this, else the 360 will fry when you turn it on next, because it doesn't know what to do about this power spike you'll be causing.

Also, grounding yourself before you do this will fry the motherboard, so make sure your hands are wet and you're using a cutting instrument that DOES NOT have a rubber grip. We don't want to do any damage to the $400 equipment, right?

I have to say the Asylumites are being rather nice to this apparently very lost newb. Usually they're a lot more ruthless than just a few "do this to get killed" posts. Maybe not enough of them have read it yet... btw might wanna think about posting that somewhere else to actually get help OP.
