Never knew my father, and my (second) step-father is a hick to whom i don't talk to, the joys of being a *******! I don't have to spend money on anybody today. Although my girlfriends birthday is the 25th and she wanted some equipment for her camera (she's big into photography) and some art history books, and a parakeet. But she's in Italy/Greece now for vacation, won't be back for another 2-3 days, this sucks.

Chicken t1tties (D cup size no less) on the grill, corn-on-the-cob, watermelon, and a cup of B&R German Chocolate Cake ice cream, followed by a high speed jaunt along a twisty on the cycles to Knights Ferry for a dip in an ice cold river.

Muy bueno!

Happy Fathers Day! I hope none ofyou got a tie or soap on a rope.
My wife bought me a pack of socks and some new clothes because she knows I'd never buy them myself. Kid(s) scribbled on card for me, was really quite cute. Nothing like have children of your own to make you realize what a **** kid you were(are).

All I have to say is RACK Father's day.

On a gorgeous Saturday evening we started by going to the drive-in and seeing a double feature; "Cars" followed by "The Shaggy Dog". Everyone ejoyed both films. Then after a decent sleep, I am awoken by my 4 kids coming in and jumping on the bed declaring "Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!", all vying for first position to give me their hand-made cards and gifts. After reading each card and opening each love-filled gift, came the breakfast in bed - bacon, eggs, hash-browns, coffee and OJ. We then setup camp in the back yard while the kids swam and I got to read the week end news paper while my wife went to the store to grab the last few things she needed for supper.

Supper was in a league of it's own. Fillet mignon, fresh garlic shrimp, bbq shrimp (all made at home) and tater salad. There would have been some lobster as well, but the store had sold out. To top off the evening, I got a massage and some attention from the Mrs once all the kids were tucked away.

A good day indeed.

A belated best wishes to the Dad's out there.

I had gotten so soused Saturday night that I slept till 2pm on Sunday and didn't feel coherant enough to call my Pops till nearly 7pm. But at least I did my duty.

Sadly, he had to ask who I was as he didn't recognize my voice.

Upgraded the condo. I'm not at the point in my life yet where I am interested in yard work or general house upkeep.

You don't deserve a medal for that, you deserve a 3some in some nice cool Jell-o for that. It was freaking beyond hot this weekend. Air-conditioning FTW!

Not all of them.

We had window air conditioners, which my parents never let us use.

To this day I have no idea why they were there.

you got shafted then :(. All the houses I have been looking at for the past couple of months come with central AC. I've yet to run across one in my price range without it.

I don't understand why anyone who lives south of canadia would WANT to live without central air...even if it's just used to pull humidity out of the house...

Because when we built this house it was either pay $15k for something we would use for maybe 6 weeks out of the entire year, or add more nifty things to the house, like an extra room and fireplace. We went with the room

AC is 15K? Wow.

Would AC be a sticking point for a purchase of your new home?

I refuse to buy down there without central AC. Seeing as that doesnt look to be a problem, Im not too worried. But yes, if a house didnt have central AC, I wont consider buying it

Agreed. 8ish work for you? That way you'll miss the traffic on the 99/41.

I wanted to call my dad yesterday, but his room doesn't have a telephone and, according to my mom, "he's not speaking" which probably means they've reopened his trach.
