Much as I'd like to trash Uncle Sam. . .

Appalling refereeing, but one of the most tenacious displays so far.
An outstanding performance in the face of typical Italian drama-queen play acting.

I'd love to see USA get through now.

They did great. 9 vs 10 you'd think Italy would've pulled one out.

That Ref was way to harsh, too. He needs to be fired. The game would've been way better if it where even.

I have been at work glued to espn.com

I love this. An Italian win coupled with us beating Ghana and goodness shall rain upon us!

I think the Czechs are going to beat Italy in 3-1. I'm a USA fan, not biased on this one.

USA vs Ghana I think will be a really nice clean match and a clear victory.

I think Italy would be winning. Of course you never know. As for the Ghana-USA match, I would say if we can perform well or at our best then we would have a easy win.

I agree, the referee was absolutely horrid. Neither of those red cards were deserved, and whether or not that goal should've been counted is debatable. The first red card on Italy was a good decision, but everything past that... wasn't.

Judging by the way that we were playing, I'm willing to bet that we would've been able to pull out a win had it stayed at 11 vs. 10 or even 10 vs. 10.

Now the entire country has to pray that Italy beats the Czechs and that the States beat Ghana. Doesn't look good.
