My ex-boss is a gem.

Monday of next week would have been my last day. However when I went in to pick up my cheque Thursday I was informed that my shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday were being covered by someone else and that I could considered myself unemployed. She had found some new staff and didnt need me so she pretty much fired me for putting in my two weeks notice. An extremely small/petty thing to do.

I was perfectly OK with it though. For two reasons.

1) The Fair is in town this weekend. I now have the weekend off. As Twizzle would say "Wheeeee!".

2) After the pure drama/stress of the whole 'Girlfriend' situation I've already been through enough. So all those things you would like to say to your boss upon leaving but are too timid to say, well I said them. I said them in a calm, professional manner but completely tore her apart while doing it. It was beautiful.

You should go file for unemployment for the few days inbetween jobs since they fired you instead of letting you quit.

Not sure if that would work, never been on unemployment, but I know the company that fired you pays for it.

Like you thought, even for a second, Bhodi wouldn't verbally jack off to completion by detailing his every word and her every expression. If he hasn't posted again, it's because he's typing up a thousand word blow-by-blow.

Welcome to the ranks of the gainfully unemployed!

At least you'll have plenty of time to play EQ during the summer.

Oh....that's right. Sucker.

Actually, as an employer (in the Province of Ontario) I know that, if she wants to put that you were fired on your ROE then you do indeed qualify for EI. It's all about the ROE.

What was said is unimportant.

It was the delivery that was noteworthy.

It was her moment, her moment to lord the fact that she was 'firing' me over my head. I wasn't a bad employee and I did everything by the book. My work had not slumped after I had given my notice. She considered it a slap in the face though. So this was her getting back at me.

I stole that moment from her. In front of most of the staff and left her stuttering.

As for EQ2, well we will see what I can manage.

Not trying to hijack the thread or anything... but HOW can you play two mmos at once?
I just don't get how some people can devote full time to two MMOs... It doesn't sound like you're devoting full time to WoW, but still... I go crazy if I try to devote virtually any time to another MMO... Smiley: bangheadSmiley: bangheadSmiley: banghead

@ Tomec:
Simple. Both my husband and I love to game and have been doing so for years. It's our "couple" time if you will. We have a young child at home and finding babysitters in order for us to go out is hard to do. Not only that, but add up the cost of dinner and a movie once a month, plus babysitter fees, and it costs more than all our monthly account bills put together. So while we go out here and there to enjoy each other, most of our couple time is spent working and playing together in our MMOs. We get nightly fun, sitting side by side, chatting about anything, laughing at each other or ribbing one another and we thouroughly enjoy it.

For awhile I branched off EQ2 and tried WoW, and dragged him along with me. I liked it more than he, but we played together here and there on each game, comprimising for one another so we didnt lose our couple time gaming together. For awhile I couldnt stand EQ2 and he couldnt stand WoW, but even when we played our seperate games, we still were sitting side by side chatting about anything and having fun.

Now Im back full time to EQ2, but I still enjoy playing the Ah game on WoW, and have set a goal that I will have enough money for my 49 NE to get her epic mount before she hits 60. So thats why I still pop on. And once I have a little free time here and there, I plan on getting her to 60 JUST so I can buy my mount and say I did it.

I see I see... I guess it isn't bad if you just pop on... but I still don't get how some people can devote time to play two mmos full time... Alternating days to play would be one way I guess, but still, I find it hard to devote my time fully to ONE mmo lately let alone two. Oh well...
