Actually, i think there is a +.03 rounding errror inherent in the new forums. Somehow I ended up at a 5.03 base karma and recalc seems to ignore it.

That would explain how my karma seems to have gone up from the last time I bothered to check it even though I don't think i've got many ratings recently... well recently being as of like 4 or 5 days ago before I started posting more regularly again lol.

Might be more. I woke up one morning and my karma was magically 5.33. It's been that way for days.
