I'm not using my gender as a victim card. You know what context I mentioned I was a girl in? Someone called me "he" and I simply said "I'm a girl". That's it, and I got reactions like I posted.
And thing is, I do, often, have to just suck it up and ignore it. I've been dealing with this kind of thing for years. But I wouldn't HAVE to grow a thicker skin if people didn't say these sorts of things in the first place. Lay the blame on the people who say such things -- who start the problem.
and you prove my point in either that you dont recognize sarcasm when you hear it, or you are playing the victim card by getting your panties in such a twist. If it upsets you that much, you should stop playing games so that you dont have to get your paper thin feelings hurt. In fact, you should probably work in an all female employed job, just in case some male coworker says something off color.
You DO have to grow a thicker skin or you will go through life constantly taking peoples words for face value and constantly getting butthurt. Unless you like that sort of thing. I dont know. Maybe you're masochistic.
Either way, you dont sound like youre having fun, so quit while youre ahead or learn to grow a backbone.
