Do you all think you're being funny by posting garbage like that?

Do you think it makes you better than me if you post that I'm a "whinging, weeping brat" because I don't like being called a @#%^ for absolutely no reason? That is not whining, that is asking for basic respect as a human being.

If people are going to treat me like I'm only good for "cooking, cleaning, and sex", I think I'm quite justified in saying that that is NOT recognizing me as a person and I have a right to be treated like one.

Absolutely agree 110%. You people seriously need to grow up and start treating her like a lady and not a sexual object or a possesion! She is a special and unique snowflake, beautiful in her own way. Better yet she chooses to express herself via video games and does so in a mature and reasonable fashion. Shame on you all for not giving her the respect she so deserves.

So . . . about those bewb pics. PM me, kkthxhawtnis

Ever occur to you she may underaged? Not like you have to be 18 to get a premium account here...

Anyways, I know it is the asylum's motto to treat people who post whines/rants/things like this badly but hey, it IS a problem in MMOs that some people just can't stand the idea of girls playing games... and the whole "suger daddy" thing don't go over to well with lots of people either.

You know, if you're old enough and bold enough to be out on the Internet on your own, playing games with people you don't know, then it's time for you toughen up to the point where a hard rain doesn't leave marks.

If that's not the case, GTFO until you've grown some skin.

If you're young and tender, that's cool. What the hell are you doing on the Internet unsupervised?

Who the hell *are* these people you're talking about? Yeah, I haven't played every MMO ever, but I've never had any trouble whatsoever in the ones I've played. I get into groups/chat in general/etc without anyone being shocked or outrage that I'm female and gaming. I think the lot of you are full of crap. The people that are ******** are just ******** in general and I doubt it has much to do with you being female or not. If it's such an issue, play a male toon, guys certainly play women all the time! It's *role-playing*!

Pics of their bewbs will do as well.

If I didn't suck at MMOs I'd totally be a sugar daddy for any of the following:

DSD
Nexa
Samira
Katie
Flea
Tare
The other brown girl(think she has a shoe fetish ava)
That token hot chick with the phone covering her face

Bonus points if your Canadian, those chicks are dirty birds. Smiley: grin

But Tomec, as a player of the femme gender for 6+ years (or is it 7?) I have not once run into a situation she has described. Now if we want to talk about having female characters being bothered, yeah Ive seen that. But as the person behind the character, I've recieved nothing bu respect from anyone. It's not like I hide my gender. I'm a female gamer and proud of it. In fact, most things I hear fellow guy gamers complain about is the lack of female players.

Am I lucky? Slight possibility. Is she unlucky? Slight possibility. But most likely, she sounds as if she is using her gender as a victim card, and reading into casual conversations more than needed. More possible is that she can not figure out sarcasm.

Being female has nothing to do with it. It's all in the self confidence and the attitude of said person. So echoing others, OP, grow a pair and use them, or stop playing altogether

Well, I WILL admit I'm speaking more of female chars being bothered... obviously not all of those are going to be female behind the keyboard too.

The more I think about this though it does seem like you're all right and she needs to grow some thicker skin and such.

Here's the thing: I've gotten comments exactly like every one mentioned in the original post. (My last EQ guild would have put the OP into therapy in about ten minutes.) Every single one, without exception, was either obviously kidding or just as obviously from a nine-year-old.

What's the appropriate response? Well, of course I know NOW that I should have fallen apart, written a Greek tragedy in my diary, stabbed my own thigh with the business end of a compass, and come to a message board to sob, yea, unto strangers about the outrageous behavior of other anonymous but somehow meaningful strangers.

What I actually DID, of course, was a) laugh and give back better than I got; and b) ignore the kiddie-poos. Had I only known the correct actions to take at the time, my life would be so different today. Sadder, more self-pitying, and pointless, to be sure. But different. That's the important thing.

I really hope you are a woman, otherwise I'd be touching myself over a guy and that's just gross. Not that there's anything wrong with that. /jerry

For the record, I'm 17 and just graduated high school.

I'm not using my gender as a victim card. You know what context I mentioned I was a girl in? Someone called me "he" and I simply said "I'm a girl". That's it, and I got reactions like I posted.

And thing is, I do, often, have to just suck it up and ignore it. I've been dealing with this kind of thing for years. But I wouldn't HAVE to grow a thicker skin if people didn't say these sorts of things in the first place. Lay the blame on the people who say such things -- who start the problem.

Hope you like your taste of reality. It's good that you can recognise it but it's unfortunate that you've yet to accept it. With age comes wisdom(and legal bewbie shots) and as you get older, hopefully you will understand the world around you. Some things just are, fu[Aqua][/Aqua]cktards are just one expression of such.
