My fiancee's boss's sister (how's that for a refrence!) didn't know she was pregnant until she had to have a c-section. Her period went on like normal the entire time, and she didn't gain much weight. Just at the end her gut pain got so bad she went to the hospital, and they immediately found and removed a baby.

The story usually ends with the father being told his daughter is in the maternity section, and not believing it, but I'm not good at telling that part.

Is it it just me or does it seem a little bit odd to imprison someone for life for being an idiot about their pregnancy?

There are those rare women who really feel wonderful during pregnancy. I work with a woman like that. So maybe, just maybe, a woman like that may not realize she's pregnant until right there at the end.

Anything is possible, I guess, but I find it incredibly hard to believe that these women don't suspect even once.

Freaks!

these women are in total denial
I'm with DSD on this one. I can easily believe that some women may not realize until they're 5-6 months along. After that I'm just not buying the "gosh I just thought it was gas" approach. Denial is much more plausable.

Whether she realized it or not is irrelevant.

What she did after the birth, whether it was a complete suprise or not is.

That's what I'm thinking. You don't leave an infant in a bathroom "by impulse."

I mean...isn't there a cord you gotta worry about cutting?

the cord is not connected to the mom. Its connected to the baby and the placenta

I knew that.

Still doesn't tell me how you abandon an infant by impulse. Smiley: bah

Well, if some bloody life form was clawing it's way out of my gentalia, I'd be freaked too.

But, I'm a guy, so stuff like that shouldn't happen to me.

Well, she would have had to birth the placenta too and that takes a few minutes to detach from the uterine wall. Nothing impulsive about that.

Apparently, she also didn't bother to flush. I get a clear view of the toilet when I flush.

She deserves her jail time, the nasty bi[Aquamarine][/Aquamarine]tch. Smiley: mad
