I finally had my ultrasound today to determine exactly how far along I am. My son wanted to go so he could see "his" baby, and I was fortunate to have my neighbor and friend, who works in ultrasound, perform it. The findings are Im a little further along than we had thought. I will be 14 weeks and hitting my second trimester this Sat. Due date is Dec 16.

I was surprised to see how well formed the baby is, even so early into the pregnancy. It looked just like a baby. Head, eyes, arms and hands, legs were visible. My neighbor printed out 2 pictures that actually looked like a baby. S/he was sleeping at first, but we woke it up and then became quite active, moving its hands and legs a bit. It was a very cool experience. My son is in love. Hes been carrying the pictures around showing me and his daddy his baby all day long.

In 6 weeks I should be having my second ulrasound and hopefully we'll find out if its a girl or boy.

oh yeah. Note for future reference. Do NOT drink all that water and then go mow the lawn while you wait for your apt. All that bumping up and down did not help in the slightest

If it's a boy, make sure it's not more than 6 letters long. Most janitor's badges only allow so much space.

You wish you were even good enough to wipe my ***. Having a birthday on the same day as me means that your parents worshipped me and wanted to pay hommage by having their baby on my birthday hoping it would bring them luck and good tidings. Unfortunatly, they were not counting on their baby coming out retarded.

I would. Everytime Guadal comes to empty my trash, I snicker as I "accidently" spill my coffee all over the floor.

That extra "upe" makes all the difference in the world.

/shudder

You're all set with it being your childs name. I wouldnt do that to my son.

A long time ago, my husband was seriously toying with the names Rufus and Magnus for a boy. It was the one time I put my foot down and refused to even have that as a possibility.

Would that be for Laslo from the GTA III: Vice City talk radio dj? Those were some hysterical moments in that game. Especially when he had the vegetarian martial artist interview. Hysterical stuff.
