I used to be a big fan of SNL, they had some great musical groups, and often had some very funny comedians doing some memorable skits. I must admit though, I pretty much quit watching it back when Will Farrel and those guys were on it. Since then, it seems every time I tune in it's dull to say the least. However, tonight in a fit of boredom I tuned in to not just one episode, but two. Due to the beuties of cable, there was a re-run on the normal channel, and another re-run on E. The first was with Jack Black hosting, who is entertainment iteslf. The other was with Lindsey Lohan hosting, and Usher as the musical group. I'm not sure how old that one was, but it was before Lindsey lost a bunch of weight and still looked hot.
The episode with Lindsey was a riot, they had the rap clip with "The Chronicles of Narnia" which I'm sure some of you have seen on the internet. Also, it had the Harry Potter clip with Lindsey doing the Hermonie role and everyone was staring at her bewbs. It also had a few other skits that were pretty damn funny, including one where all the participants had a hard time keeping a straight face.
Jack Black is bound to be a decent episode. You could just film him improvising and it would be funny. The musical guest was Neil Young, who to be honest, looks like a fuc[Aqua][/Aqua]king mummy and sings like one too. I'm amazed he's not dead yet. Despite that the show was still worth watching. There was a couple of musical bits with Jack including one with his partner in crime in Tenacious D doing another bit.
I guess my question is that has anyone been a loyal follower lately? Is SNL starting to revive itself? Or are the critics finally winning out, and we're watching the end of an era?
