Yup. Kitca and I are doing it. We found a house (in the boondocks) which we call "Grandma House", made an offer and it's been accepted. That's "Grandma" in the cookie baking, cozy way, not the stench of decay and urine way (we'll add that touch ourselves).

Our offer got accepted on the condition that we close next Friday. Eep!

Yan-yan will be a little stressed out for a week.

It's a very fast closing. Luckily our loan was fully underwritten before we went house shopping and was just waiting for the appraisal once we picked a property.

Purchasing a home can be a great feeling. Stressful, but very cool once it's all done and you can stand naked in the living room and yell "This is my house, if you don't like it, get the fu[Aqua][/Aqua]ck out!"

Pics plz

Congo rats.

Owning a house is awesome, even if it freaks you out to see 2036 on the loan paperwork.

Congratulations Yanari!!!

Having a home is exciting all those new rooms to decorate and do things in, I am coming up on my one year anniversery as a homeowner myself. My only piece of advice is to watch out for" New-House Sex", it can lead to a surprise baby. I should know my wife and I, just had one in May.

Damn you "New House Sex", Damn you to Hell!

Thanks for all the well wishes, and amusing speculation about the speedy closing.

Well I am thinking of doing at least one room a la Pee-Wee's Playhouse. I'm going to post pictures of the bathroom wallpaper when we have the place. We're buying the house from the original owners (built in 1975) and I swear it's the original.

It'll be educational for anyone under 30 who thinks they know what 70's suburban decor was all about.

If we throw a good enough party nobody will have to hire strippers.
