zarkowi dead, what does it mean?Follow

#1 Jun 08 2006 at 11:47 AM Rating: Default
absolutly nothing.

like pulling your finger out of a bucket of water, no hole. just like arafats death, wont change anything.

hopefully, we americans will begine to understand that the solution to our terrorist problem lies in dealing with the CAUSE and not just reacting to the results. or not. washington will hold media press releases, in the form of interviews, taking bows for what they accomplished, and feeding the sheep (you) with a bunch of crap about the mighty blow we have delt terrorist, and how they will be scrambling to reorganize because of the mighty victory we have just scored.

and most of you will swollow it. on with the bloodletting in the name of ignorance, arrogance and stupidity, the moral majority changing the world for you......

So, you uh, like know arafat wasn't active in politics and had been largely marginalized by the PLO nearly 2 years before he died right? And that in the process of killing Zarqawi they also recovered his little black terror book eh? I mean, sure it has a little blood on it now, but it's still readable.

why do I bother?

Well, HAMAS was elected into power (not presidential, but I think it's something akin to congress eta al), and is now being starved out by the normally providing nations until Hamas renouces violence and recognizes Israel. Insert_Spin_Here

I think you're right.

Does not starting sentences with capital letters make one ... more right (or more left, in shadow's case)?

At least he's consistent.

FFS Shadowrelm.

Even if we concur that Al-Qaeda is a headless animal - it's a network that can compensate for the loss of any of its parts almost immediately - you've missed out one ittle-biddy factor.

I don't give a giraffe's ******** if Zarqawi was a leader, a postman or a rent-boi. The fact that he personally instigated and participated in kidnappings and beheadings of civilians means I'm glad he's now fertilizer.

Now off you go back to your little world and wait for the meds.

1) Nobby is right

2) It does make a difference. It wont change everything, but there will be a power struggle after his death. Which will entail violent fighting within the Sunni insurgents. Which will delay some attacks.

3) He was a symbol. Just like Bin Laden. When these people die, it is a blow for the opposition, even if only moral.

It wont change everything. But it wont change absolutely nothing either. Just like it is extremely stupid to pretend Haraft's death did not change anything. Is the situation in Israel/Palestine the same as before Araft's death? Of course not. And the situation would not be the same today if he was alive. All the elemnts that make-up a situation ahve their role to play in forging that situation. When one of the bigegst elements die, it changes teh situation.

America hasnt won the "war", because its impossible to win. But, for ordinary Iraqis, it is a victory of some sorts.

There is one piece of news that was much less reported, because less dramatic, which will a much bigger impact though. And that is that in formation of a new governemnt in IRaq, a Sunni has been named as Interior Ministry, and a Shia as been named as defense minister. This is a big step forward.

Not sure it will prevent the country from splitting up, but it is a step forward in the right direction.

I don't normally post here, but I always do read things in the Asylum, and this thread has caused my IQ to drop 10 points.

Since when have the Asylumites allowed such dribble to be posted?

*note* What I'm referring to here is the horrible sentence structure and grammatical errors in this entire thread.
