Yeah. most of the new Windows Mobile 5 smartphones, the treo 700's and the newer blackberries also do so. It's kind of creepy actually.

i know where someone can get completely protected from identity theft for them and their families, credit reports, 24/7 monitoring of credit, notifications of anyone opening up credit cards, buying cars, houses, stuff like that, AND, if youre a victim, theyll fix it for free, kickass deal for $10 a mo. for the whole family, new times calls for new products i guess. and new ways of stealing one's identity.

Wow, that sounds really exciting and usefull. I'd like to know more!

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

This thread is a prime example of why instead of "Urban Hospitals" there should be MASH tents.

Well, bleh, that sucks, Miss. Flea. Hopefully the Karma Giant will kick those bastards in the balls.

Considering they're at a point in their life at which stealing a purse seems like a good money making scheme, I think the karma fairies are already doing a good job.

well thats all fine and junk, but people really do become victims and not know it, then expect that just because it wasnt them, they arent responsible, too bad the feds passed a law saying if you dont fix it in 60 days you ARE at fault, to each his own i guess.

People probably die from robot accidents too. Do you also peddle robot insurance?

OH! because you need SOOO much attention for your sarcasm, you think it would be wasted if every opprotunity is not taken to practice the skill? good on you.

A razr broadcasts a typecode and a serial number independant of the card, so if they check they should still be able to see the switch. What they did if they were smart is turned the phone off and pulled the battary immidiatly, then mailed it to argentina or thailand.

I don't remember if the serial broadcast is enabled by default or not though, or if they have to specifically trigger a serial broadcast from the phone.

Actually, I called Cingular and theirs do not have that technology. Only Sprint and Nextel.

This *** made several calls before I cut off their service, so the case has been assigned to a detective, but, CPD being what it is, my phone will be in bits and pieces before it even gets assigned (I was told "definitely by Monday we might give you a call"). Bah.

Sorry for the bad PR, tricksy, but truth be told, your city sucks balls.

I'm sure you said something brilliant but, sadly, my cookies seem to have my work filter locked on default and you've been rated down.

So very sad. Smiley: frown
