Specifically, anything you feel is missing that should be in there, any markup tags I missed, anything that seems like it needs clarification, suggestions, whatever.

Thanks in advance

Looks like it's all there.

Need to mention the issue that the indefinite article is 'a' unless the following word starts with a vowel or the word 'cu[Aqua][/Aqua]nt', in which case it is 'an'.

That seems a bit unnecessary.

I'm certain that both people who ever actually read that will be very appreciative.

Wonderful. The original help was great so given that people read it this looks perfect.

A few notes: Scholar, Sage, and Guru colors (as well as admin) change depending on style sheet as you know and so you may want to either stick with black when writing up examples to avoid confusion or code in exceptions.

To that end, at the end of the guide you list all the premium titles. Given that it won't bog down the boards even further I suggest that a "print $username" be put in place of "YourNameHere."

Also, because of so many people asking - you may want to explain how and where the premium coupons can be retrieved and maybe a small section on the magazine subscription due to the problems that have arisen with members not receiving or otherwise being inconvenienced by it.

Lastly, you missed the strike through tag.

edit: spelling pwns me <.<

My thought was to leave a few smilies undocumented so that long time users could use them to their advantage when trying to impress noobs.

As to the 10k stuff, I haven't made up my mind about that yet.

That one is already dynamic. it draws from whatever stylesheet you view the site and applies the correct color. Since it's passive and if you are in teh forums anyways, you've already loaded that stylesheet, I think it will work well without bogging things down.

That one would be active, not passive like the stylesheet, so it would take some recodeing. i may look into doing that later, but for now it will load quicker if I leave it as is.

I'd like to keep this forum specific. I may add a link to the premium stuff down at the bottom though. I'm not sure. It is definitly something we get alot of questions about.

Actually that one was there, it's hidden up at the top under underline. because it's sneaky

Nice, looks like you have all the bases covered then.

I say it's time to replace markup.html with this one (though I guess I'm not the one who gets to say that...)

It looks good Kao. I think there should be a link to it on the bar that shows up on the side(with the forum links and the link to user account and such).

Also, on an unrelated subject, I was wondering if I could submit a new Premium User Name that could be used later on.

The Eccentric Premium User's Name

or something along those lines that implies being slightly crazy or exxentric.

I know it sounds stupid, but I figured, why not try eh?

I like it, it would have been really useful back when I was new.

Also, you should make it mandatory to look at that before a new user can post. Just an idea.

Yep, of course I have!

Really we can only hope that someday a fraction of the posters retain some of the information found in there. I currently have no hope in convincing them to read the beginners stickies at the top of most of the forums.

You can certanly suggest some. Make a feedback forum post requesting them, and someone will rule on them at some point.

I skimmed through it really quick and everything seemed to be there. I'll try changing stylesheets to see if the colors do change, though I have no doubt that they wont lol.

Edit:

Yep it does, though I don't know if this is right or not but on the SWG and DAOC ones it is all just white besides admins (I haven't viewed it in all sheets though)... I also noticed that depending on the stylesheet some of the text past the side bar will shift over or not shift over. Like FFXI doesn't but EQ2 does

Edit 2:

Ok, just went through to all the stylesheets I could think of and besides DAOC and SWG, the WoW and L2 sheets also have the coloring broke. In fact, L2 didn't even have the Admin color.

I'm going to go double check and make a list of which sheets do and don't shift over with the sidebar now and i'll edit this again when I'm done.

Edit 3:

Ok, here is the list:

EQ: Color fine; does shift under sidebar

EQOA: Color fine; does shift under sidebar

EQ2: Color fine; doesn't shift under sidebar

FFXI: Color fine; does shift under sidebar

WoW: Color NOT fine; doesn't shift under sidebar

L2: Color NOT fine; doesn't shift under sidebar

SWG: Color NOT fine; does shift under sidebar

DAoC: Color NOT fine; does shift undersidebar

I think that is all the stylesheets, if i'm missing any just go there yourself and check it Smiley: lol

(Seriously though, i'd like to know if i'm missing any)

Ever since Illia realized you could generate a pink dancing midget on the WoW main site that was 120x120.

{S}he wasn't on a pc with a gif resizer...and well...it's nice to be king.

Um, Illia...buddy, pal...the pink midgets been throwing me off - you're a dude right?
