So, let me get this straight. You're saying teenagers who say they'll stay virgins till after marriage usually don't, and then won't admit to having sworn to keep their bits inviolate later?

OMFG News!

I remember when I thought sex was ickly. Thank God I got older.

Now I have this song stuck in my head

I was feeling done in, couldn't win
I'd only ever kissed before.
I thought there's no use getting into heavy petting
It only leads to trouble and seat wetting...

Now all I want to know is how to go
I've tasted blood and I want more
I'll put up no resistance, I want to stay the distance
I've got an itch to scratch, I need assistance:

Toucha toucha toucha touch me, I wanna be dirty
Thrill me chill me fulfil me
Creature of the night.

Then if anything grows while you pose
I'll oil you up and rub you down
And that's just one small fraction of the main attraction
You need a friendly hand and I need action...

Toucha toucha toucha touch me, I wanna be dirty
Thrill me chill me fulfil me
Creature of the night.

All I know is a friend of mine took the virginity pledge, and I didn't... and then he lost his virginity about 4 years before I did.

Maybe I should have taken the pledge too?

It's like forbidden fruit. If girls think they can't have you then they want you. I tell all women I'm a virgin and I'll be abstaining from sex until I meet 'the one'. For really.

I've been trying that for years and it still hasn't worked.

I try that, but it makes it very difficult to explain the 4 kids after that..

Couldn't have anything to do with the fact that the adults here are embarassing and shaming the pledgers about their sexual behavior, right?

kids have sex.. kids had sex in the past, they'll have sex in the future. As long as kids hit puberty at 12-13 there will be kids trying it out.

It doesn't matter if there is a pledge or not, when given the right circumstances kids aren't thinking about other things. Humans are biologically geared for sex to overcome most other thoughts and functions.
