Former CIA analyst predicts WAR in June/JulyFollow

His credentials are extremely relevant. His anylisis is fine. It's just wrong. He knows it's wrong. What he's currently doing is about making CERTAIN it's wrong. Do you see? By stating he thinks this will occur publically he is trying to impact the likelyhood that it will occur. His goal if for it not to occur, not for him to be proven right.

lol, that's funny.

Ya, hopefully he "knows" the analysis is wrong, but from the sound of things it's more likely he's hoping that it's wrong and doing what he can.

However if there was going to be an active attempt to invade iraq and it was thwarted it also wouldn't be completely accurate to say that his previous analysis was wrong, as he's pointing out that the administration intends to invade iraq and although the activity may be thwarted the analysis was correct in it's evaluation of the situation.

Disclaimer: I'm by no means trying to say that this prooves he's right no matter what happens. The beggining premis in this particular discussion is that he's correct in his analysis.

Laughable at best,

You're very convincing. I doubt that Mr. McGovern has more knowledge about it than you do.

Please quit confusing Iraq and Iran when typing, it makes you look less smart. Its not the only thing but definitely a contributing factor.

If by "written word" you mean tactless accusations that have no relavancy toward the topic at hand, then I'd say yes, you are an expert.

Bod, when you're like this, you need to find a really ANGRY Buddha for your av.

Or maybe a Mr. T Buddha. Yeah, all pimped out, gold chains and stuff - that'd be one bad Buddha.

I'd pity da foo' who argued with THAT avatar!

And... the site that the OP's link takes us too looks pretty suspicious. Yeah, I'm sure this guy was a CIA analyst and Presidential adviser. But he keeps good company. Steven Segal claimed to have been in the CIA, too. I wonder if this McGovern guy is also a pot-bellied, balding Aikido master with a stupid-looking, thin, greasy pony-tail?

Bodhi is not being a good liberal. He should know that saying mean words to people is verbal abuse and tantamount to torture. I'm calling for a full-scale investigation.

You might have read this turds post on the OOT forum. It took 40 replies to get an answer out of him on his position. The guy is pure ******** who makes random claims and has no way to back them up.

Since I don't feel like picking it apart and showing him the error of his ways and He chose to bring it over to the asylum I will poke at him, however childishly because he doesnt warrant a serious response.

Nothing really to add, just that it appeared someone had blanket rated all of Bhodi's posts down, so I took counteractive measures.

Oh, and the word "twatburger" makes me laugh.

That is all.

this addministraition is full of idiots. i would not be supprised if it did happen. especially in light of the dismal poll numbers republicans are getting approaching the mid term elections.

its funny, all you hear or read is how Iran is violating this, and ignoring that.

here is a reality for you, Iran signed the anti nuclear proliferation treaty WILLINGLY, adn in exchange, according to the treaty, they were supposed to get help developing nuclear technology to create power plants.

NO HELP ever materialzied from the treaty for them. so, they are doing it theam selves now.

the U.N. and the rest of teh super powers broke the treaty first by not assisting them with the development of nuclear power. they DO NOT have to participate in the non-proliferation treaty. they can back out at any time THEY CHOOSE. but they havent. they are still trying to comply, but are going ahead with developing nuclear power themselves.

they do not have to abide by a treaty WE and the U.N. broke already. no world power has ANY AUTHORITY over the devlopment of nuclear power in Iran. NO ONE.

al this crap on the media you hear in teh U.S. paints a picture of them violating some law somewhere. it is not the truth.

the truth is, we dont want them to have nuclear capability, and are beating the war drums because we are afraid they will nuke israel. they do not owe us ANYTHING. we have NO AUTHORITY over them.

bet you never hear that explaind in any washington news release. why? becasue the masses are STUPID adn will believe what ever they are led to believe. like 76 percetn of you idiots believeing iraq had nukes before the war when there was NO EVIDENCE EVER displayed to support that.

if bush invades iran, it will be a holy war. the entire middle east is now emboldened becasue of our FAILURE in Iraq. they are no longer afraid. we can send missles at them, but we cant even controll two cities in a single country. this addministraition has clearly demonstraited that to the entire world.

but like i said, this addministraition is full of idiots, so it wouldnt supprise me. and it also wouldnt supprise me if the majority of you idiots thought it was a good idea by the time they get through with their war campaign to rid another mad dictator of WMD,s that are an imminant threat to the U.S.

I don't follow. Isn't it impossible to say whether he's right or wrong, considering it hasn't happened yet?

I personally don't see the value in this guys opinion. Political personas from every group and mindset do such an absurd amount of posturing, their words hold very little meaning to me any more.

iran has agreed to hold talks with us. but we refuse to hold talks with them untill they abandon their nuclear ambitions.

russia is helping them with their nuclear power development, as permitted by the non-proliferation treaty iran signed. russia is also **** blocking us from imposing sanction against iran. so is most of europe, and the rest of the free world, including the majority of the U.N.

reality - iran is a danger to israel.
reality - iran is hostile to everything U.S.
reality - iran IS PERMITTED to persue nuclear power under the treaty they wilingly signed.
reality - we have no authority over iran.

the goal is to secure israel. im all for that. an invasion wouldnt guarentee that, but it would certainly reduce the danger to israel for the next 10 years atleast...from iran anyway.

i dont see an invasion as a viable soultion, especially from us. even if we devastated iran, we would surely end up inflaming the rest of the middle east, probably past the boiling point.

because of our actions in iraq, adn the dismal results from our actions, America is a lame duck in the middle east now. no one fears us. no one likes us. no one agrees with us. no one wants us there.

we couldnt be in a worse position internationally. portrayed as weak, ineffective, adn most importantly......WRONG in the eyes of the majority of the rest of the world, including most of our allies.

the moral majority, building a new america for you......

It probably won't happen in a few months, but I believe it will happen sometime in the next five years. Iran has an amazingly large, and organized army with nuclear weapons. You Americans better watch out.

LoL, not a threat to America? Iran isn't like Iraq, and Afghanistan my friend. They actually have technology almost on par with America's, and their soldiers fear absolutely nothing. I feel sorry for Americans going over there, you guys ain't gonna steamroll it like you did Iraq. They're gonna put up a real fight. I'm not saying you guys are gonna lose, I'm saying you won't win easily.

If Russia *just happens* to wanna back them up, I believe the world will be a different place very quickly.
