You doubt that Ray McGovern predicted that or you doubt that it's true? There's an audio clip within the article itself of the interview in which McGovern says this.

Try reading the article, tw[black][/black]atburger, then looking at your post. And my reply. Specifically, the word I bolded.

Being unemployed, this was the most work I've done in six months. Now, go and edit that original post and maybe we'll get some decent conversation going in here!

Don't expect me to molly coddle you. You arent terribly bright, in fact you are an idiot and your link site was terrible. I've already had a sampling of your childlike reasoning skills over on the OOT forum. If you wish to bring it over to the Asylum expect me to be a little more open.

You are a ****, your opinions are **** and you are a complete puss.

Immature, possibly. That doesnt make it any less true.

You can call me whatever you want, that's your own deal. I'm just observing that you seem to resort to personal insult as a substitute to debating relevant topics.

The only thing remotely significant that I've found so far is the claim that the sight I linked to was "terrible". Perhaps that would be a good starting point my young pad wan. Please describe to me why you think this sight is so terrible and relate why that has any significance to the topic at hand.

Hmmm... Let's see. Hard core left wing guy has his finger on the pulse of foreign politics and is accurately predicting what will happen...

Or!

Hard core left wing guy seeks to drum up cash for speaking engagements by stirring up anti-Bush sentiments and making outrageous claims.

I know which one I'll bank on...

Course, Bush has never started any wars before...Why would he start one now?

And what would mr McGovern know anyway? If he's one o' them anti war liberal commie types he's obviously against Bush and his policies, rather than actually being against killing people on an industrial scale for fun and profit.....

back to sleep everyone...nothing to see here.....

Ya, I'm sure that Ray McGovern formed the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity as a lucrative business and that he really doesn't care about current world affairs despite his supposed concern before the US invaded Iraq that such an invasion would cause terrorism rather than prevent it and that the Bush administration misconstrued intelligence information as a pretext to war with Iraq. (I mean, what would he know about that anyways... his job as a CIA analyst was only to brief the president on classified intelligence issues)

Former CIA analyst and Presidental Advisor Ray McGovern predicts that Bush will wage war with Iran in the next few months.

Publicity stunt.

Unless "war" means a cruise missle. If it means ground troops, he's just wrong.

I didn't read the article.

Even gbaji could reach this simple conclusion or something not too far off. However the OP has to get his handheld by Debalic to understand what Deb was getting at.

I have received information psychically, which is corroborated by scientific data, according to which on May 25, 2006 a giant tsunami will occur in the Atlantic Ocean, brought about by the impact of a comet fragment which will provoke the eruption of under-sea volcanoes.

I am a former psychic.

Certainly he want's to publicize his point of view, that's what anybody wants to do when they make a public statement. So what? The real question is what does he use his publicity for?

Do you have any evidennce that he's making phat cash and squandering it away and that he really doesn't care about the issues that he's espousing? Because if you do have such information I would deffinatly like to see it so that I know he's full of crap. Otherwise, I have no reason to believe that his statements don't reflect his opinion based on his credentials as a former CIA Analyst and Presidential advisor.

Not really something to brag about.

You're implying that he gives no causal evidence on which to base his claims and that his credentials aren't relevant to his statements.

"There is already one carrier task force there in the Gulf, two are steaming toward it at the last report I have at least - they will all be there in another week or so."

"The propaganda has been laid, the aircraft carriers are in place, it doesn't take much to fly the bombers out of British and US bases - cruse missiles are at the ready, Israel is egging us on," said McGovern.

McGovern highlighted President Bush's all time record low approval ratings as a reason for launching an attack on Iran to again whip up false patriotic fervour.

McGovern said that Rove, Cheney and Rumsfeld, fearing impeachment and Enron-style criminal proceedings, are urging President Bush to launch a war in order to create a climate unconducive to lengthy investigations and impeachment proceedings.

So these statements within the article seem to indicate that reasons are givin as to why he thinks what he does.

Now as far as whether or not a former CIA analyst has the credentials to understand world politics and political adjendas, I think that's pretty self evident.

I dont think another war would solve his problems.

Laughable at best,

His credentials are extremely relevant. His anylisis is fine. It's just wrong. He knows it's wrong. What he's currently doing is about making CERTAIN it's wrong. Do you see? By stating he thinks this will occur publically he is trying to impact the likelyhood that it will occur. His goal if for it not to occur, not for him to be proven right.

Is this too complicated for you?
