I agree that Brazil as a whole hasn't been playing with their usual flare.

And, did you notice that like 8/11 of the French team was black African-American*? Isn't France prodominately white caucasian?

Yeah, it's a little strange, I noticed it too, but then most of the England team is straight, too which is much strager.

Oh, and gooooooooaaaaaalll.

Well at least we can rest easy knowing that the whole Korean team looks Chinese Japanese.

I think half of the French squad is built up with players from former colonies. Top of my head, only Barthez, Ribery, Sagnol, Coupet, Henry and Givet are "real" croissants.

France sucked again. Muhaha. That group is far from over. Those silly Coreans are really nearing round 2.

I'm actually pretty happy that the score for the Aussie and Brazil game was only 2-0. I go for Australia and we were never going to win that game. But for us to keep the score kinda low is pretty good. I set my alarm for 2am to watch the game, but slept through it (grrrr), but form what I hear the game was actually rather level and was a chance to maybe even keep it nil all. Can't wait to see that replay!
We just have to wait for the outcome of the Australia and Croatia game now!

The reason half of our players are not white is because we had this little thing called colonies. When we peacefully and respectfully left our colonies, some of their inhabitants decided to come to France to find some work (those were the days), and some came because we needed cheap labour. And obivously some had children. The cheek.

Thats accounts for players like Malouda, Thuram, Gallas, etc...

Henry was born in Martinique, which is basically a colony we kept. But its part of France, just like Corsica.

And finally, there are players like Vieira, who were born abroad, but came to France as a child, and got French citizenship.

So that's the story of the Black-Blanc-Beurs. We have the highest Muslim population in Europe, and lots of second/third generation immigrants, who are now as french as cuisses de grenouilles sur baguette avec des fourmis. The bucolic vision of France as a country of mustached white people is only held by old Monarchist and the National Front.

Still doesnt explain were the beret and onion rings have gone, though.

Finally, it's time to admit the French football team have a serious mental problem. We should've won that game so easily. And yet, it looked like we didnt actually want to win it. Henry's miss, Vieira's miss, the non-appeals for the non-goal, the slack defending... I am ashamed.

Thank God Italy are just as bad.

I really thought "baguette" would be the one word people would get in this sentence.

Smiley: lol Think a little harder and you'll get it.

That was the point. I could have said "on a pizza" for similar effect, but I was trying to be subtle. Americans would just assume it was correct. ( You'd think a French guy would get the joke. )

Elderon took a puck to the head as a child. It didn't affect his intellect which was already the sh'its as you can see. Just a random factoid of the day.

Et tu Bodhi?

An industrious person never passes up the opportunity for a job. Adversely, Bodhi simply never passes up an opportunity for a jab.
