Extreme, unwarranted and unprovoked violence for the pure hell of it. Often co-ordinated and organised, but without regard to the consequences

A good socio-cultural insight into the culture of hooliganism in England.

And a pretty cool film, too.

Germany v Poland tonight. Could be an interesting game. Especially as when the Germans move into Poland's half, they will not want to leave again. badum dum

Anyone have any authoritative comments about the new ball being used? Apparently, it's lighter and is a pain for keepers to stop when it is not spinning.

Does seem to curl like a beeotch, but goalkeepers always find something to whine about. . .

Ball's too light, Pitch is too wet, Soup's too hot, she swore she was 16 etc etc

Fu[Aqua][/Aqua]cking good job it's an evening kick-off or every Kwik-Fit and Nanny Agency would be closed for the day.

Isn't there a tradition that half-way through the final whistle somebody fires an arrow at the referee? Joph?

Goldberg, Bernstein and Cohen sent off in 1st half.

German Manager denies ever having seen them or heard of them.

The 3 eventually found in an obscure corner of the Polish Dressing room, but "nobody saw anything".

That one?

You think you would notice that the guys with the giant golden stars of David stitched onto their uniforms were missing.

Odd huh?

Perhaps the Germans should make them all live in centralized locations so we can keep an eye on them?

I watch my hockey and a little CFL around greycup time but don't pay much attention to soccer.

Out of curiousity of this thread I sat down and watched the Italy vs Ghana match and was underwhelmed.

However I kind of watched the Spain vs Uke match due to it being the only thing on this morning while I was puttering round the apartment. Not shabby at all. I have to say I am awed by the noise the crowd makes constantly.

Iced my cake there Pat.

Well the 1st 1/2 was a 3-1 Kraut victory missed - scoresheet still says 0-0.

Could Poland carry on denying them (and finish one of their own intermittent breaks?)

I can't claim that was the best match so far, but it was my favourite in terms of suspense and anticipation.

Watching Ballack was like seeing Beckham play with Walsall or Brentford.

And yes, I did leak a little pee at the double cross-bar hit in the 89th minute!

Polish Tenacity was entertaining, but a fair result. Neuville for Reichsfuhrer.

props to Polska though.

That was one hell of a nail-biter. Double crossbar-hit and goal at the last seconds. Even though I don't care too much about what happens to either team, I think I lost a couple years of my life, there.

Germany looked were solid to me. Yeah, it was a lousy goal, but well deserved.
Sweden or England are in for a real cracker.

And hey, I AM working, remember? ;-)

Ecuador 1-0 up already. Looks like group B's winner is going for a clash with Tenorio and Co.

COME ON ENGLAND!

Now there is a black man on the ground feeling his junk.

I definitely think this is a soccer thing.

If England keep playing at this pace, I could find 11 grannies who could keep the score at 0-0...
