no man should ever make excuses for stepping on another man's groin. there's just no way.

come on that was an obvious disguise on his part. all he was missing was the random whistling while he walked.
apart from not doing on purpose.

disguise? disguise what? i'll look at the ball and then step normally becuase that way i can rake the guys nuts? comeon that utter rubbish, rather he was looking at the ball and stepped normally and the guys body was where his foot landed.

the only person who needed a whistle was Ronaldo to go with the smug "I got him sent off" grin and wink at the dug out.

This coming from the man who tried to cover up Figo's heatbutt.

Haha.

Ronaldo told Rooney before the game "i'm gonna get you sent-off". Which he did. So you can't say Rooney wasn't warned.

It is a sad state of affairs that if Rooney had tumbled when he had those two Portuguese players pulling his shirt and kicking him, he would've got a foul, and it would've been a yellow for the Portuguese.

Instead he stood his ground, lost his temper and got sent-off. You can't blame him though, he's just a kid with a bad temper. Can't see Ronaldo staying at Man Utd after this. I hope he gives one from me too.

If it's one thing the Portugese should win the world cup for, it's how to f'uck your opponent over.

Really, no other country can come close. Even Thierry "omg, I got hit on the chest but let's pretend it was an ellbow in my face" Henry and heir to the throne Michael "touch me and I'll dive like I've been shot in the head, twice" Ballack.

Bah. Worthless pussies.

Henry doing his best theatrical work hapenned once in the WC. No other France player did it in the tournament.

Whereas Portugal's players do it every game.

I think restrspective bans or yellow cards for players that fake injury, or pretend they've been hit is the only way to stopp all this pussying around.

knock it off, everyone is saying he stomped on his nuts including the english press, just give it up already.
This coming from the man who tried to cover up Figo's heatbutt.
how did i try to cover it up?! he did headbutt him, but it was just a little love-tap the guy looked around for 10 seconds than fell to the floor, couldnt of been that serious, could it?

i'll tell you right now, if a 21 year old from portugal can influence the officiating in a world cup match than there's more serious problems than i can imagine with the sport.

i like that article, all it proves is that rooney is a thug, something you guys seem to be in denial about. i like how you can justify rooney stepping on his nuts by saying that he's young, but you want to crucify ronaldo for something he possibly didnt even do.
lost his temper and got sent-off
end of story

why is england playing the team card here? this is all about COUNTRY. how many players will bounce around different teams and leagues, but your country will never change. isnt that what the cup is all about?

EDIT

sorry, getting weird errors when i try to do the quotes properly, so i bolded things to make it a bit more presentable

You're not getting errors. It's because you're not quoting properly.

I see your errors, it's not the page but rather the way you format your quotes. See that link above the text box in replying called "Markup help"? Give that a click and hopefully you'll be able to figure out what you're doing wrong.

oh you read the tripe you posted then? i thought you might recognise how utterly appauling your post was.

1. the british press are split 50/50 as to wether it was deliberate, Rooney himself has publicly stated that he didn't do it on purpose and since he has a very good record of admitting and appologising for when he does f*ck up, maybe you should listen to him.

Rooneys at least has the possiblity that it was accidental Ronaldo can't use that excuse his actions was certainly deliberate and premeditated.

I'm watching the Italy - Germany Seminfinals match. Germany is looking pretty good - are they the favored to win team? Since my wife is Italian, we're rooting for Italy.

The collisions are a lot of fun. The injury acting is hilarious.

Cool, thanks Elderon - it's starting to look that way, too, in OT.

Well f'uck.

I had been watching the match all the way through. Was about 10 min left in penalty and I had to start getting ready to goto work. Hop in the shower, get dressed come back to the TV expecting penalty kicks and bloody Italia has scored 2 times.

Shit!

Damnit, damnit, damnit! Almost had 'em.

Had it gone to penalty shoot-outs the Germans would have almost certainly got it.

But, horrendous acting aside, the Italians played better, especially in the extra time. They had some pretty crappy luck with those 2 earlier shots, and there is nothing to fault with their 2 goals. Good job.

And now I don't care who wins anymore, my favorite is out. Merde.

Hehe, well, my 'in-laws' have a holiday house in Zeeland, one of the Dutch 'states' at the coast where a lot of Germans spend their vacations.

I was there for three days, hearing Germans shout "Ohne Holland fahren wir nach Berlin" around the clock.

I'm goin back there tomorrow. In my blue outfit. For revenge ;p

thats cute. i'm sure you can spot tripe with ease, since that's all the majority of your media is capable of writing. so i should listen to rooney because he's such a sportsman, whereas ronaldo is this evil cheater that planned on getting rooney kicked out of the game from the get-go? i can just see ronaldo in a bunker somewhere in the middle of the night writing up some blueprints on how to get ronney booted and putting his pinky to his mouth a la dr. evil. come on do you even read what you write?

ive watched replays from about 8 different announcers and they all agree that it was a cheap shot, why cant you just be a good sport and admit defeat and carry on? this is the kinda crap that gives england a bad name. like i said, i give them a ton of credit to hang on to pk's, but they couldnt get it done. thats it and thats all.

great game today. thought italy deserved the win because they had some better chances to finish, especially with the post and crossbar in extra time. bodies flying everywhere, gotta love it.
