1/2 an hour in, and with Italy & Ghana both winning, USA run the risk of being he first team ever to come 5th out of 4 Smiley: frown

Goalkeeper, I was in Curacao this past week, you Dutch have some hardcore fans

I have been told the Curacao's fancy Brazil, actually. But hey, if you think they are hardcore, you should come and watch a game in Amsterdam :)

How is the US supposed to win a World Cup against ref's that were paid off?

By ponying up more, duh!

Elderon, please. Italy got smacked around by the US when they played, and if not for the ref handing out red cards like they were going out of style, the score would most likely have been different.

Ghana was handed a goal by the ref on a PK that shouldn't have been called. If the US sucks so bad, why do they keep handicapping them? The whole "US sucks at football" argument is dead, stop living in the 80's...k thx.

Italy vastly underestimated the US. If they were to meet in the 1/8th or quarter finales, you wouldn't stand a chance.

Czechs out. Youch.
That'll teach them for frustrating Holland so often, muhaha!

That sucks for the Czechs, they were very unlucky with Striker injuries to be fair (like England, but we topped our group!)

I know it's Japan and everything but it doesn't seem fair for Brasil to hve a sumo score like that an embarass them.

This is what happens when those Japanese people take time off from their kiddy-panty-sniffing and FFXI playing time to attempt another sport.

Damn the Aussie v Croatia game was great. I dragged myself outta bed at 5am to watch and in the second minute Croatia scored. I was crapping my pants. The whole game was so close all the way through. The refereeing was rather crap I have to say. He gave a Croatian player two yellow cards but forgot to send him off! He only realised until he gave him a third :P He missed so much other things too. Rather annoying. But it was a fast paced game and wouldn't want the ref's job.

Now it's Italy v Australia. Can't wait!

I made a sweeping statement along the lines of "USA will never make it past the first round and probably not win a game" mainly to irritate the Americans on the other forum i post on.

God i am so Smug now Smiley: grin, however my prediction of an Argentina Vs Italy final with Italy winning is looking a little shaky at the moment.

But with Owen out for the duration and Rio and Gary Nev out for the next round at least i can't see England being able to go much further.

With out the latter two coming back Argentina will walk all over Carragher and Campbell, (Did i mention i can't understand why that pillock is even in the squad! Smiley: motz)

I thing England should either go 3-5-2 or 4-5-1.

Robinson
Carragher - Terry - A Cole
Carrick
Beckham - Gerrard - Lampard - J Cole
Rooney
Crouch

My picks for who I think is going to play in the quarter finals:

Game 9: Germany vs Argentina
Game 10: Italy vs. Switzerland
Game 11: Brazil vs. Spain
Game 12: England vs. Portugal
