Little gloat session. I've finally picked a real estate agent to sell my house for me and hes coming tomorrow to seal the deal and take pics of the house. Our house is in pretty decent shape, but we've got some house cleaners coming tomorrow to give it a good polish. But, after all the intense rain we've had my yard had the look of an unkempt jungle. With it being a sunny, but chilly day, I decided I better get out there and do some tidying up. With hedge clippers in hand and a wheelbarrow behind me, I attacked the foliage in my front yard with a vengance.

2 Wistera bushes that climb my brick front had decided to overtake the entire upstairs windows. Leaning precariously out the windows I was able to fight back and bring them down to submissiveness. I edged my entire front and back of the house, the rock wall in the back, and around my mulched areas. I trimmed my two burning bushes that border my front steps to look tame. I weeded, and mowed, picked up all the branches that littered my grass from the storms.

I walked out to the edge of my driveway after and if this area didnt snow 7 months out of the year, Id never leave it. Those who came over saw what little of my backyard and you guys know its pretty nice. Well if you could see it now in all its glory, youd sigh with pleasure. Its a paradise now. All its missing are ripe blueberries to be picked and eaten at leaisure. Unfortunately that wont happen until mid July.

Anyways, a good days work done and Im quite confident the pictures taken tomorrow to sell my house on the outside will do it justice. Smiley: grin

Congrats on all your hard work. I planted some begonias around the front lamp and it exhausted me. I kill green things.

Post the link to the house if the realtor lists it on an online service too. We can take the virtual tour! Smiley: grin

Congrats on the yard! While you guys were getting spanked up in Boston we in NJ were picking up all your excess so my once barren dirt filled yard has florished! I need to pick some stray grass from the flower beds and get some pollen out of my pond but as of now the front yard is top notch.

I am sure once droughts hit in July (they always do) my grass will convert back to hay but at least I have a month or two to enjoy it.
