but here is my tardy, opinionated take on this new race of Asylumite-Bostonians that has spawned.
I couldn't decide which of the many threads on this matter to put it in, so I'll just make a new thread about it... to the delight of some and the dismay of others...
Danalog - I don’t know if he realizes it, but he really is a funny guy(as in comedic) and after about 14 hours in a car, the conversation never really got stale; very knowledgeable, very cool, and also very honest it seems. This is a guy who will tell you waht he's thinking.
Mrs. Danalog - not many chicks that I can discuss the history of medieval mythology with and not want to slam my head into a wall, kudos to you. Also her moods are contagious
Exodus - One of those guys who you think is pretty quiet and shy.... until they say something that has everyone in hysterics and then just sits there thoughtfully with a evilesque grin. It was awesome meeting another moogle fuc[/red]ker. I wasn't disappointed. I'm sure if left to our own designs we could have very well talked about FFXI the entire time and still had more to say. I loved his accent.
Nexa - Seems to be one of the "purer" people I have met. She claims to really be all mean and cruel.... but I'm not buying it. Although I can totally picture her going out and conversing with mooses and raccoons. I will say with honesty though, seldom have i met a person that seems to radiate careing-ness and yet have a sense of humour as slicing as paper cuts. Nexa is a frreeking riot. A naturally positive person it seems. i wonder if she really goes home and beats her husband or something, cause no one can be that totally nice
Yanari - I think of all of the peeps, Yanari was the closest branch off of my tree. I think we could have easily sat there for days discussing everything from obscure movies, games, history, astrology, society, life, and everything and anything. I knew that we would get along. I don’t meet people too often that I just "click" with. Sorry Yan Yan, don't be afraid, but you ARE one of them
Jophiel - I talked to Jophiel least out of everyone. I will say that just about eveything that he said made me want to bust out laughing, I'm not sure why.. but he seemed to me to be bursting at the seams with humour.. not sure if it was the timing of waht he said or the tone of his voice, but he totally had the "evil genius class clown" vibe crafted to near perfection. I probably could have just sat there and listened to him talk about anything and be entertained.
Atomicflea - Flea has this aura of calm intensity that is only overpowered by her smile. Definitely a lot of gears turning behind that piercing gaze. I'm not sure where she was hiding her wings... but I'm sure they were there somewhere. She has a commanding presence; especially on the dance floor She seems to be a person who is infinitely loyal to her friends and infinitely ruthless to those who would threaten them. I'm glad she's on "our" side.
Smasharoo - ahhh, If you have actually read any of his posts, than you already know him. I don't need to say anymore. The guy drips with wit and will never hesitate to tell you waht he thinks you should hear; and the infuriating thing is that after all of the sarcasm and all of the mirthful wise-cracks, the fuc[/red]ker is usually right! Despite waht he would have you think, however, he really is a good person (or maybe that was the alcohol).
DSD - This girl should run for president. She struck me as a sort of "Jill-of-all-trades". How often do you see a gamer-chick who's hot, hip, dominating and yet sweeter than honey, and can still bust mad moves in the club? wehn she smiles at you it makes you want to melt.
Sickabilly - Dude's a programmer/musician. How much cooler can you get? He and DSD compliment each other perfectly. I got the feeling that he's a person who pretends to be shy just to get a better feel of the situation, but I got nothing but positive vibes from him. (and he gave me a CD of one of his albums, I've actually been listening to it in my car.... Satanic surfer music!! Dude, it rocks! and I don’t say that lightly about music that I hear and if I listen to it over and over again[with my fickle taste in music] you know it's awesome.) Keep on rocking out , man.
Jacobsdeception - Another person I think pretends to be shy. Like myself he's an observer.. content to stand off to the side and just absorb all of the madness. He presence was a bit intimidating at first (sorry, muscular guys with glasses scare me) but he was absolutely an awesome guy to hang out with and quite easy to get along with. Don't let the Grim-reaper avatar fool you.
Debalic - Out of everyone else, reminds me most of my friends back home. Wehn I saw him I felt like I knew him already. I think we related to each other very well after sharing stories of our "adventures" in life and it's quirkiness. Great guy to hang with and a great guy to talk to. Wehn we got together it was kinda like we were comparing notes on the world; we could have been long lost brothers in geek-hood. Ironically enough, I really think that he is a guy who could fit in no matter where he was; despite the fact that he claims to have felt out of place. The guy's a survivor.
the whole thing was utterly surreal to me(and still is)... as my view of you peeps has developed into sort of a celebrity/mythological standing in my mind.... To actually see the all out techni-colour, life sized, fully animated versions of you all was mind blowing to me. Good times that I will never forget.
peace ya'll
