Poor Paulie is getting a divorce.

Quote:
LONDON, England (Reuters) -- Former Beatle Paul McCartney could lose up to a quarter of his estimated $1,555 million (£825 million) fortune after separating from his second wife Heather Mills, legal experts have said.

That would equate to roughly £1 million for every week of their four-year marriage.

McCartney, 63, and former model Mills, 38, announced their separation on Wednesday, blaming media intrusion for the collapse of one of the most high-profile showbusiness marriages.

They were only hitched for a few years, but since they have a kid and never had a pre-nup agreement she stands to get loaded off this one.

I wonder if she'd be into a Yank. I'm house-trained.

Almost unrelated: I always wondered why Brits have no accent when they sing.

That's why Paul does that little head shake thing while he sings, it's to shake the accent off.

I always arrogantly assumed it was because when singing there is no room for accents and so I concluded that the US English is the "proper English" and the British English just fancy it it up to give themselves airs.

Of course this doesnt include the south.

Seriously, can't the media leave them the hell alone already? If she takes a modest sum, or takes 1/4th of all his fortunes, what does it matter to the average reader/watcher?

FUcking paparazzi.

Because then that means people would be minding their own business. When the hell did humans ever do that?

If you think the paparazzi's bad, wait until TomKat either gets married or divorced. That's going to be stalkerazzi to the nth degree.

OOO whaaa!

Please, these ******** make millions off of their fame. Wouldn't it be a safe assumption that with fame comes some downfalls? I'll take 1,500 million dollars and have everyone look at my life though a camera. It's that same star grubbing mentality that people have which made these stars their money anyways.

I didn't know of this woman's existance until 24hrs ago but, yesterday afternoon, the folks on the radio were being rabid in their hatred of her. The hosts, the callers... no one had a single nice thing to say. Was this based in something? Is there a reason this woman is so universally despised?

I believe that in prior long-term relationship, the ex painted her as quite an attention-***** and gold-digger at that point. Also, the McCartney fans were upset with the changes they noticed after his marriage to Heather Mills. And the McCartney kids supposedly never liked her either. After the marriage, rumors were swirling around of her attitude of "Don't you know how to treat me? I'm Mrs. Paul McCartney."

The way I saw it, if they were blaming the media for their split, I think that was a cop out. They didn't seem to have massive media focused on them, compared to the Beatle-mania days.

I heard on the radio today that she "didn't like living in his shadow". Also heard that his previous kids absolutely "hated her."

I just love these field trips to the supermarket check out lane tabloid rack gosspip.
