It is hardly surprising to be honest. I didn't bother reading the whole article since in England you get something like that every week in the papers. I personally work for local government in fostering and you hear a lot of horror stories about different children and what they do.
Recently in the national press was a story about a 11-12 year old that was addicted to heroin. Personally I found that more abhorrent than pregnancy at that age. But both of them are wrong and any adults involved in either should be ashamed of what ever hand they have had in these matters.

I was about to write about the same thing, except to also add that I was disturbed that the arcticle made no mention of the fact that she had to have sex at that young an age in order for the pregancy to happen. They ignore this fact like its umimportant. I do not think its any defense that she had breasts and pubic hair prior age 4, plently of 12 year old girls have that now, and if a man or teen 5+ years older touched them I would expect a rape charge.

All I can say is.... thats a failure waiting to happen. Gonna be interesting to see how they react when:
1) The baby comes out mentally retarded, or deformed because the girl wont stop smoking and drinking.
2) The girl has to completely give up her normal childhood because taking care of a baby is too much responsibility.
3) The child, if it survives, most likely wont amount to anything in life, because the grandmother is such an asshat that she wont even stop her child from smoking/drinking, let alone not being able to keep her from having sex. And the girl will most likely end up like her mother.
Lets see if these idiots keep their happy tune once the baby is actually born. >_>
