I thought this album was gonna be brilliant. So far it bores me to sleep. Nothing really stands out and IMO the mixing is aweful. I actually can't distinguish instruments. Where are MJK's vocal talents besides some weird alternative style that doesn't even compliment the music.
Does anyone else feel this way? I feel let down. Don't get me wrong I love Tool and have for a long time since 96. Lateralus was a milestone leap for them and I feel like they went back in time instead of foward with this album. Seems all of the members side projects are finally affecting them or rather the quality due to time limitations.
I paid $15 bucks for a mini stereoscopic image excuse for an album.

I don't have the cd nor really heard any of their music, however my mate who's a big Tool fan says the cd is great and way better than he thought. So will be interesting to see what other people have to say.
