Let's play Mad-Quotes! Someone out there has inevitabley conceived every thought I might possibly have someday, so why not ride the wave of the past!

Oh, and I am going to rate you down now, which I rarely do, but you've failed to realize the error of your ways even after the entire community pointed out it's disdain for unoriginal **** drippings.

No, I'm trying to get it thru your head that your thread creating skills are sandbox equivalent and you suck balls at posting. Seems its not working though as you keep on posting inane crap.

True, but we already have a codyy, I hardly believe we need another.

Hey, any time you want to quote me on things I didn't write to clear up your confusion, go for it.

It's become clear why you did the copy and paste thing, you're just not very bright. You should stick to quoting dead people who could think when you want to express something. You should also do it somewhere else.

Whereas I think you've done an excellent job of flaming him thus far (for which I'm seriously thinking about nominating you "New Asylumite of the Year"), references to how bright he is, based on a previous thread where he prooved quite an amazing knowledge of physics, seem to be, how should I say..."not the best thought out flame".

He's a bright guy, just misguided in what a "New Topic" should look like in this forum.

As has been previously stated...repeatedly...

You can:
Link an Article. Give a brief synopsis, and then add your opinion.
Start a list of favorite musical groups and why.
Talk about your life and/or ask for advice.
Talk about new games, magazines, movies, television shows, books, etc.

As long as there is somewhere to go from the OP, the thread can be counted as meaning something.

Unfortunately, listing a bunch of your favorite quotes doesn't leave much room for a response, other than:

That's nice.

I suppose I'd agree to an extent, but if he were really that bright, he would've quickly noticed his minor misjudgement in creating this thread, acquiesced with a touch of self-depracating humor, then humbly offered some personal thought and reflection regarding his list of quotes (perhaps centering around the recurring theme of science vs religion).

Instead he was daft enough to take everyone on in an argument he can't possibly win. He did this because he believes he is smarter than everyone here. So I see no reason why the irony of it all shouldn't be rammed up his *** like a broken broomstick.

You still see it as an argument. You tried to insult and degrade.. yet you never realized I simply don't care. Immaturity doesn't affect all of us; I know where I stand in life.

By the time I realized the flamers were just upset, posting long, angry responses to single statements I made, I wasn't going to humor it any more. It simply became less messy to acknowledge the flamers were being immature and leave it at that.

If it pleases your sense of 'how things should be done', then you should know I was going to give my own opinion, only once others had a chance to form one. My arguments on the subject involve Mathematics that is apparent that the majority, though perhaps not the complete, of this board is unaware of. It would've been senseless to post anything without allowing you time to adapt.

It was my sincere hope to find others' opinions and thoughts before attempting to make an argument for debate, such as a teacher would to a class. This is natural for me since it's my profession while I'm going through my college years; I'm a student at times, a teacher at others, and a tutor at others.

This is a shared reflection, not because you wanted it, but out of respect for Roller's response. Though I'd prefer to give them more often, it's too easy to be seen as arrogant and flamed by jealous or self-interested individuals.

Edit: Three typos.

Hey OP, I feel bad for you because you don't get what people are trying to tell you - and btw they're being pretty nice to you, from an "Assylum standpoint." I've seen much worse.

This really is "the Assylum." It's aptly named. The people who post here generaly are (or once were) highly intelligent. But they don't care - about you - about some quotes - about anything - except whatever entertainment value they get coming here.

Oh sure, there's occasionally a "serious argument" in here, but not really. It has to be "Assylum flavored" to work here, meaning warped, twisted or highly cynnical - or whatever it is that makes it "Assylum approved."

OP, you don't sound warped or twisted enough to belong here. I don't belong here. I sometimes am so bored I come here to see if something amusing is going on (the same impulse that makes me slow down and crane my neck when driving past a traffic accident). But if you're hoping for serious debate - again - you need to "get" this place - and most likely get the hell out of here.

This place is not good for "normal" people.

Here's a quote that might actually help you - I can't remember it exactly, but your buddy Einstein said it. Bascially, his definition of insanity is when someone keeps doing the same thing over and over but expects a different result.

Now do you get it?

It's my point of view you're missing.

I gave something a shot- and it wasn't well received. I'm defending my reasons for having attempted it while conceding I wouldn't do it again, as stated in replies on this thread.

Perhaps this place is an accident. I'm not quite sure why I tried here, but, nonetheless, it was a shot I was interested in taking.

My Gawd, you're stupid.

I'm not saying you shouldn't talk about these issues.

I'm saying you shouldn't try to do it HERE.

Get out while you still can!

You don't even belong here on a day pass.

Go.

Haha, yeah, I editted it, stupid. ;) After about some 40 or 50 odd flames, I'll confess to starting to skim them instead. After considering it, though, I came back and reread your post.

This is my leaving, for the most part. Still, it's not like me to leave something unfinished.

Any suggestions for a place that's a bit more mature?

I'm interested to see what sort of debatable point you were going to make once others presented some ideas. I suspect you're just back-pedaling after your failed attempt to impress. I had my theological crisis years ago, and don't need a teacher, particularly one incapable of learnin' me. I still think you were waiting for someone to post something easily debuffed by your stellar intellectz, because you don't have anything beside plagiarism to express. So come with it, bring your revolutionary train-o-thought to the forefront and we'll see if you're more than the sum of your posts thus far.

And you seem to think you've been flamed in this thread. I for one have tried to provoke you into offering some original thought because I don't think you have it in you. When I flame it usually involves graphic descriptions of angry sodomy and the like. In other words, I've been pretty civil; this is merely how philosophy gets communicated 'round these parts, yes?

You're going to get what you give. Everyone who examines things around them thoroughly is eventually going to form some conclusions or at least some ideas. Keeping yours to yourself for our sake is just silly; we're all prepared to deal with and debate the ground-breaking theorums you've concocted through your sophomore year.

So again, at the risk of being guilty of the long-windedness you've accused, I implore you, share your fount of knowledge with us, and give me something to do now that Mother's been taken to dinner and the casino.
