Baby Day?Follow

#1 May 11 2006 at 8:59 AM Rating: Good
Today is the offical due date.

We are scheduled for induction next Thursday if it doesn't happen before then. Doctors estimate an 8 or 9 pound baby Smiley: jawdrop. My guess is a C-Section will be a good possibility.

Hopefully sometime within the next two weeks we have this baby.

Go have some sex with her, that should make it come faster!

If'n she feels particularly frisky, get some lube and talk her into some fisting action. If she complains that it hurts, just tell her she ain't seen nothin' yet.

Congratulations, and this is completely unrelated, but... is that a bullet hole in the top of that dog's head?

Why would you guess a C section? If it's just due to the weight, that's certainly not big enough to warrant an automatic C-section. Mine was 8lbs, 14oz and while it did feel like I was trying to pass a bowling ball, she was still delivered in the traditional way!

I've been trying. No go so far.

No, it is a spot of brown fur. You are the second person to ask.

Based on how her doctor is. I know it's not an automatic C-Section, i'm just taking a guess based on things her doctor has stated.

Just pull the Doc aside after the delivery and ask for a couple extra stitches.

Get your woman a pedicure today. Have sex. And 8-9lb is big, but like Nexa said, not big enough to warrant a C-section. Put it in perspective. My husband was almost 11lbs and he was born sans C-Section. I think my mother in law was insane, but thats another story.

She can't stand to have her feet touched right now, even to put socks on her, pedicures are a no-go. I already suggested that.

I tried to get her to go for a walk with me down the driveway last night, but her back was hurting to much. I think she is going to have pretty bad back labor.

Again, trust me, if I could have sex with her I would.

One of her doctors is a little C-sec happy, that's what I have a feeling with will be a C, but you never know what happens until it happens.

Good news!

I just got off the phone with her. Her contractions started to get a little stonger last night. So maybe something will happen today.

Gramma (my mother) is there with her now, I'm a half hour and a phone call away.

Does your wife want a C-section? If shes wavering, have her hold firm to her guns and refuse one unless its absolutely necessary. Recovery from a C-section is twice as long as vaginal and its not as quick and clean as C-section happy Dr's make it out to be. Also, if you plan on having others, its harder to go vaginal the second time if youve had a C-section. Not impossible, but harder.

GL!!! Tell her to bring her favorite pillow with her to the hospital. Their pillows suck!

She's fine with either C Section or natrual delivery. What ever is safest for her and the baby given the circumstances of her labor.

She doesn't have strong laurels that's holding her to a vaginal birth, so she's pretty open to suggestions.

Question...

Why would they say to bring corn starch to the hospital? One of the nurses gave us a list of things to pack, and corn starch was listed....for the life of us we couldn't figure it out...

Bags are packed, new pillows are in the car...just waiting now.

So, are you planning on giving out e-Cigars?

If her back is aching, ask one of the nurses if they have a birthing ball your wife can try. If she sits on it while you support her (sometimes just holding her hands) and let her keep rocking her hips either back and forth or in a circular motion, it can help ALOT!

Does corn starch absorb body fluids? Those nurses aren't cleaning up after you, you know!

Good luck to the lady with the baby-birthin'!

We have one and it does help! Our nurse suggested that a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunatley I cannot be home 24 hours a day so she suffers a bit when I'm at work.

Awww, it'll get better Papa, hang in there. Hannah is really getting to the point now where she's more able to play and entertain herself (and us...we're going to start throwing quarters at her to dance as soon as she stops putting them in her mouth).

I think so, but wouldn't you think the hospital would have some cleaning products or something, so I don't have to make amniotic gravy?

To give you somthing else to think about.

Or they'll make you go boil cornstarch. It'll keep you away longer than boiling water.
