Or at least that's how it looks.
Today ushered in the first "Flight of the Dandelion" in my area. A walk outside will be greeted with a face full of fluffy flower seeds. As the day wears on it will gather in clumps across all the lawns in town much to the dismay of our local geriatrics.
For lack of a valid form of measurement, I'd guess there's ~3-5 floating seed pods per cubic meter. It might not sound like a lot but the damn things are everywhere.
In marginally related news, I used to eat dandelions when I was a kid.
