I was taught about Chernobyl in school, in moderate detail, but this was the first time that I have looked at it again since we had the baby and it is so much more horrific to me now. I can't even imagine how it must feel to have a child in that kind of condition, or even how they cope with it.
The horror of dealing with the results of radiation exposure and how it manifests itself, particularly on a cellular level i/e the massive birth deformities, has got to be a burden most people cannot bear. Having a child born with a brain outside its skull, or its kidneys outside its body would require round the clock attention, not to mention the psychiatric damage to everyone involved.
Sadly it seems the only solution in the Ukraine, is to hand the children over to the state, which eventually warehouses them in various mental institutions.
And Molish there are even more Nuclear power plants near the Chicagoland region. There is one in Michigan City, Indiana and one near Bridgman, Michigan, both are situated near the shores of Lake Michigan.
