I'm suprised he's stayed away this long. He's gotta be scratching jumping and jiving like no one's business.

First off, going tucked makes me feel all tingly. I get to pretend I'm a ***** when me and my wife do the woo. Smiley: tongue

Second, I've not been away due to any ego problems. It's been a hell of a couple of months in real life. I was out of work for a month and we were just barely getting by on my wife's salary.

We had just paid our tax bill ($800) when our big tree (bradford pear) in our front yard split and fell over during a nasty thunderstorm. $500 to get the tree removed.

Luckily, I recently started a new tech writing contract at UPS. I have been at UPS for almost a month now and I won't be seeing my first frikkin' check until sometime next week.

I never had an ego problem. I made one error in judgement (ok, maybe 3 or 4! Smiley: grin) and everyone goes ******** I guess there were too many /butthurt feelings going around. So I went into self-imposed exile. As penance, I deleted all my toons on Shadow Council.

I've already accepted responsibility for my part in the mess that happened, but to be fair, I got steamrolled and some things said about me were absolute horsepoop. Things taken way out of context, character assassination, etc. I really didn't expect that from those I thought were friends. Oh well, I'm wiser for it. Never trust your internet friends. Some turn out to be cowardly backstabbers. Good times.

I guess the biggest disappointment for me in-game was the fact that since the guild went teats-up, I would never make it to high-end raiding unless I joined another guild of folks I didn't know. I have no interest in that.

Honestly though, I'm not sure that the Asylumites would have ever gotten to the end-game, anyhoo. But that's ok, we had a good time before the **** hit the fan. Without that end-game motivation for me though, I stopped playing WoW. I may pick it up again when the expansion pack comes out.

I was playing Oblivion for a while and it's a great game (when the 1st-person view wasn't making me nauseous after about 2 hours of playtime.

Anyhoo, I just started back up in EQ2 and have rolled some new toons. I'm trying out a few new Good (Qeynos) and Evil (Freeport) characters and I'm having fun. I guess this is what I'll be sticking with until Vanguard comes out.

That all said, I miss everyone. Even the cowardly backstabbers. Smiley: jester

I can't read the net as much as I'd like to on this job - only at lunchtime for the most part. I'll check back in tonight.

I like Oblivion, but I haven't gotten very far in it because 1.) I only play on Tuesdays, for the most part; and 2.) I keep playing with the character creation.

Shades of CoH, where the character creation was so addictive I got thoroughly sick of the starting zones and ultimately quit.

So weak.... so very weak....

I've put 109 hours into Oblivion thus far. Want to know how much of the game I've completed? I'll tell ya! Maybe 40% Smiley: banghead

Like with Morrowind, Oblivion is a game I get bored of after the initial stretch, and then come back to months later and finish.

...Yeeup... Great game.

I missed you, too, Neph. Some day, maybe you, too, can type multiple paragraphs. Smiley: tongue Sorry for the long-winded post. I wanted to make up for lost time. Oh, and aggravate those who cannot stand to read more than one paragraph.

**** off, trailer trash. You're so gullible in believing all the misinformation, anyhoo. Sure, I definitely made some mistakes and I've taken responsibility for it. But like the sad ***** that you are, you want to keep on fanning the flames. Blow me.

...or maybe not. I could care less what you have. I never had a fit, in fact, you did. You were the catalyst that brought on all the drama. You blew everything out of proportion and made up **** that wasn't true. There's no doubt you inherited Queen Skeeter's crown for drama queen. That's cool, whatever gets you through the day.

Just so you don't have to fret, you weren't the only cowardly backstabber I was referring to. But hey, it's ok. I understand you for the mental case that you are. Go ahead and take another shot if you want, I'm done.

Thank you and come again!

Haha! I swear to it, that even before I read this I was going to post on this thread.

Geez Smoggy, if you had told me there was chaos, drama, backstabbing and hard feelings going on in the WoW guild I would have signed up. I am, after all, a magnet and master of guild destruction.

Poppy Misogynist's drive to kill drama caused it in the end. He was too pigheaded to admit his wrongs and things balled up till they were going to a'splode. Seeing as how you were failing and couldnt even admit it, I stood up and took over and did things like they should have been done. The sad fact is that the only person I let treat the allafemmes like sh[Antiquewhite][/Antiquewhite]it is me, I was tired of you steppin on my ladies.

That you had a complete breakdown along the way while entirely enjoyable was not my original intent.

Though watching you trying to ignore the guild falling around you and having the whole thing fall apart until you were in the guild by yourself and put up that crazy apology on the guildportal website was freaking hilarious

For the record I would like to say that I totally support Smoggy. Given this is a view that includes total ignorance of the situation, but hey, thats what makes it fun.

Um, just for the purpose of clarification, taking "responsibility for it" would not have included the many attempts at laying blame elsewhere. A man takes it on the chin and leaves it at that.

Case in point...

Neph - Stop reading after here. It's gonna be another long one. Smiley: grin

I'm gonna address some things that need addressing and then I'm done. I swear this time...really! Smiley: laugh

Bhodi, while I am to blame for the original errors in judgement, step up and be a man and take responsibility for your part in all this drama. As an officer of the guild, you failed miserably. As a cowardly backstabber, you excelled. You were quite successful in agitating the guild, spreading lies, and besmirching my character. You continue to do so. It's interesting how you wormed your way into being the new Alliance guild leader. You are a vile and loathsome waste of space. You are a strong argument for those in favor of the death penalty for mentally-challenged scum. Wormtongue has nothing on you.

Taco, you rock and will continue to rock. Taco has honor. Taco is a true friend - one who stands by you, even when you royally ***** up. I only wish you'd upgrade your pc so you can play some of the more modern games (EQ2, WoW, etc.). I'm back on the Station pass, so I'll be sure to pop into EQ and say hi as soon as I can.

Samira, Nexa, Nads - I miss you all very much. It was fun hanging out with you and dying horribly often.

Moe, while I will always consider you a bud, I find it unfortunate that you and others bought into Bhodi's garbage. I already said I made some errors, especially regarding the guild message board bungling...and for that, once again, I apologize.

As for Aegis, well, you are perhaps the greatest disappointment to me. Along with many others, you trashed me on one of your new guild's msg boards. I think this bummed me out most of all. Look out! Two-faced Weasel! Smiley: yikes I still would like to consider you a friend, but you've definitely a place in Smoggy's Book of Grudges.

As for Barking Turtle and the rest, I'm sorry I let you all down. I thought we had some great times together. One day, it would be great to do so again. If it's not to be, that's ok.

I mishandled the situation with Yanari. Once again, I'm sorry, Yanari, that I didn't handle the situation well. I think we both have a strong stubborness streak. It was bad leadership on my part. For what it's worth, I was not out to get you or that I didn't like you. I was looking out for the well-being of the guild and things just got out of hand. Live and learn...

Obviously, at the end of the day, I screwed up. As the guild leader, it all fell on me. When I tried to rectify the situation, some of you got all hysterical and couldn't take some responses of mine (whether I agreed or disagreed with your assessment). The character assassination and lies spewed forth and everyone wanted Smoggy the Tyrant's head on a pike. At that point, there was no saving the situation.

We're all human and we make mistakes. If it hasn't been clear before, it should be now be clear now that I'm owning up to mine.

Sorry to everyone involved. My bad. Smiley: frown While it is my hope we can all be cool with each other from this point on, I'll understand if some of you cannot find it within yourselves for forgiveness. For my part, I'm really, really trying to forgive Bhodi, but then he keeps up with the garbage.

What's done is done. I truly miss the folks I consider friends. Others, well, maybe now not so much.
