I grew up about 10 miles east of Hartford, and I remember going to quite a few Whalers games when I was a kid. I loved it so much, I played hockey all the way through high school.

Anybody know where I could find a Whalers jersey online, other than eBay? I'd like to get one with my name and a custom number (I always wore number 12).

I dunno there is a number of places in my town that do that with jerseys no longer out. Just have to look around in the yellow pages at sport shops and do some calling I imagine.

Yeah, but you live in Canada. Most people here in the States don't even know that they still play hockey, much less that they went on strike for a year.

So Canes win tonight or do you think we will have to wait another game before they bring home the cup?

I'd kinda like them to just get it over with. I love the Oilers, and they have had a great run, but I'm tired now. Smiley: frown

It's odd.

Normally I would be rooting for the Canadian team. Even one based out of the cess pit that is Alberta. However they were so c[Aquamarine][/Aquamarine]ocky and acting like they had already won that it was infuriating.

The Canes have been solid throughout the series I can't help but want them to win. Like I said before its bout time the ex-hartford whalers get their due.

if the OIL win, it wont be the best edmonton team that's ever won the cup, but it'll be the greatest edmonton victory for sure

Yeah, they always play better when they're desperate but I just don't see any offensive jump at all. Sad to watch.

Ah well, whachagonnado?
