Any Hockey Fans?Follow

My former boss called me yesterday and asked if I would be interested in some Dallas/Avalanche tickets for Saturday's game. Her boyfriend has season tickets. But alas, hubby is working on Saturday so I had to regretfully decline.

I wouldn't dream of going to a hockey game without him.

Too bad, I think the Dallas/Avalanche will be a great series.

Thank Gawd we don't have to play Dallas this round. They kill us everytime!!

I haven't told him we were offered the tickets becuase I know he would really be disappointed.

They lowered ticket prices quite a bit this year, but unfortunately we didn't get to go to any. I enjoy watching the game live more than on television. I think the fights are the best part of the game!

Goodbye Pat Quinn!

Wowsers. Now if only the Oilers would shake up their coaching staff a bit.

Although I agree, the position which really needs to be "shaken up" is the GM position.

My girlfriend actually plays hockey (not professionally of course) so I've been meaning to give it a look-see. I remember hearing/reading about changes in hockey coming soon/possibly to come. Something about being able to go past the center line, reducing the amount of padding the goalie wears, etc, to help stimulate an audience.

Any of those changes take effect?

Smiley: lol Imagine ol' Brodeur out there with nothing but song in his heart and a thong on his parts. Then again, imagine young Theodore.

Ohhhhhhh. Uh-huh. Yeah.

Go Canadiens!

(no one cheered for them yet, someone has to)

Down with Carolina!

And 3 cheers for Swiss goaltenders!

Oh and Colorado can enjoy mr I-fall-down-the-steps-and-sprain-my-ankle during the Olympic break (oh and if Tho wears a thong, whatever is inside is likely very flaccid, all that hair growth stuff doesnt help I hear) :P

Besides Montreal is a much cooler place to be than ummmm Raleigh?

You should see the newspaper clippings we have here, half of them in the sports section of the newspaper are about how little publicty the Canes get :P

While still being quite the hockey fan (and playing a tremendous amount myself) I have been unable to keep up with the hockey season and/or playoffs due to the lack of quality sports channels via Adelphia Digital Cable and the good ole town of Pullman, Washington.

That all being said (I think there was a run-on sentence in there somewhere), I am, and always will be, a HUGE Detroit Red Wings fan. Sticking to my beliefs, I'll throw money down on the Detroit Red Wings to win the Stanely Cup without seeing a single game played by them this year, along with not even knowing who's on the team anymore (DAMN YOU COLLEGE!).

Anyway, those are my 2 cents (didn't think I'd miss premium...but those little graphics you can put in here are fun sometimes).

Oh, and HEY! to anyone that wondered where the fûck I'd gone off to (not that anyone has probably, but HEY anyway!).

edit: doesn't work anymore!? What did the Bold, Italic, Small, Large, etc. commands change to!? How am I going to break up my cuss-words without those!?

How about if they gave him some 'batman padding'? You know, a suit with built in pecs and six-pack abs.

Sexay?

But I digress...

Yes, no? Hockey the same still?

Kelvy! I'd say nice to see you but last I wrote down...I don't like you. Although we had some good arguments in our time (not on my end, but it was damn fun laughing at what you'd say about/to me).

Least you got to 2OT. The 'Ning didn't even show up for the 3rd period. How can you dominate a team for 40 minutes and then look 100% clueless the next 20?

Best game I've seen Peca play all year.

And you know he'll get better as the playoffs continue.

Chalk one up for Tampa Bay. They played a text book 3rd period. 2 shots allowed against an offensive powerhouse. With two home games and lots of momentum, we may just have a shot yet.
