I'm wondering where you found the info you just relayed?
Sorry for my ignorance. All I looked at was St. Louis, Detroit, New York, Los Angeles, and Cleveland and every one I clicked on revealed the statute or a description of the crime. Most had pictures of the offenders. Some even had links to the crime.

So are some of those green dots with no conviction listed actually rapists? Or are there just no pure rapists in my city? Well I wouldn't know, but I do know that the gravity of the charges require impeccable accuracy, and I think it's safe to say this site fails to deliver that.
I think it really depends on the laws of the jurisdiction. If no yellow or blue dots appear, the state may lump all those crimes together and provides degrees of criminal sexual conduct (like Michigan does). Though I don't know what city you live in, there may not be any "pure" rapists. Is it fair to lump in public urinators with people that rape individuals 18 and over? I don't think so. If you appear on a map for that offense, you may want to see what you can do to get off of it. Still, the information is available to the public and I think it's a great service. If you fall in this category, you may want to talk to a lawyer and seek a permanent injunction against the website for portraying you as a rapist (if they aren't listing your crime). At the very least, you should have them correct their information.
