Where do we draw the line of avoiding guild drama and dealing with an obvious problem?

Smoggy seems like a great guy however his continued reign as guild leader is driving away regulars and putting the guild in a precarious position. Yet for some percieved need not to rock the boat (which is just f'ucking ludicrous) you let him get away with it.

I don't put up with sh'it like this in real life and I sure as sh'it dont put up with it in game. We can choose to either lose Smoggy as guild leader and go back to having fun or we can close our eyes and hum while things fall apart.

We are in a unique position.

However the longer we choose to drag this out and not deal with the problem at hand the more people will get disatisfied and the more likely it is that we wont be able to salvage the situation. I dont want to restart again on horde server. Neither do a lot of people who have put a lot of time and effort into levelling alliance toons. Lets step up and fix this ****. Each and everyone of us, not just the officers and get back to the good times. Cause frankly I tired of this ******** but not tired enough to give up.

Well no matter what happens I am and will continue to play my alliance toons. Ive put too much time energy and love, not to mention insane amount of gold, into getting them where they are. Not only that but Im not playing the game for politics. Im here to spend time with fellow Asylumites. That is what the guild was made for. Its not for whos in charge. The important thing is having Nexa not heal Bhodi, Ron deguilding himself by accident, me pissing Aegis off by repeatedly calling him a sheep instead of goat. It's watching Sam and Yanari play leapfrog in the Wetlands. We might have this drama unfolding now, but if we lose sight of the important reasons why we play this game then we lose. A lot.


I'm all for getting a council together or having a new leader take charge. I dont want Smoggy to leave or even feel he has to. But it seems the majority of the guildies have spoken and do not think he is the best one to be in charge at this point in time. We can either start a new guild or not, but hwatver happens Im in it for the long run. Personally I have a freaking ball playing with you guys and Im too stubborn to let that go

Last night I organized the entire IF population into beggin Aegis for gold it was f'ucking hilarious.


I think someone really needs to pick up the reins of leadership. If you want I will start up a new guild, invite people and get things worked out but once things are settled down and we are back to having fun I really want to hand off leadership to someone like Aegis, DSD, Roniath someone who is on frequently and is not liable to getting worked up.


We have good times, great times. We have a problem and the solution is easy. I want everyone involved. I want Yanari back playing, I want Nadenu happy (not necessarily with me) I want to not have to deal with bull **** like this.

If you are interested send me a PM, get a hold of me in game whatever. Lets get this solved fast and hard and get back to it.

Oh and Aegis if you puss out on me I am going to hound you to the ends of the Earth.

Please no. It's starting out on the wrong foot. In fact, I suggest nothing to do with The Asylumites, since it is bound to have new people without the association eventually. The Asylum is always good, and simple. Simple is better, imho.

ok here is how i see it. Smoggy i like ya. i really do. but i think you overreacted.

Yan Yan. i like you mucho aswell but i think you should have been gracious enough to respect a request from a guildmate. it wouldnt have been that hard. it really was an easy request.

i know we are "asylumites" and that means we generally dont give a flyer about people but come on now. we are all supposedly friends. if one of your RL friends came up and asked you to stop doing something that annoyed them, would you continue to do it?

i dont know what my status is in this (my 3rd, 4th if you count the hordie side) alla guild and i think im with Aegis on this... they allways end up in a major implosion nomatter how many good intentions it was founded on. i like playing with everyone in guild but if this keeps up and there isnt any resolution by the end of this weekend then ill have to say my adeu to atleast the alliance guild side.

I honestly don't care which guild we're in. Like DSD said, I just like playing with you losers. The game won't be nearly as fun if we can't have our stupid guild chatter and occasional groupage. So whatever you guys decide is fine with me. New guild, fix the old guild, I don't care. But I'm here, cause I HAVE A SHINY NEW HORSE!!!
