Ill. Governor Confused by 'Daily Show' Bit.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich of Illinois, is known for being a hip, media savy politician. So much so, that he has been dubbed "Hair-Brush Rod", in reference to the rumor that he has a staff member, whose sole job is to help him maintain his well maned coiffure, for the perpetual public appearances he often makes before the media.

Love him or hate him, he is a formidable, well funded, media savy politician who is up for re-election in November and he will not be easy to defeat.

Which is why, taken in to that context, that this 'Daily Show' interview is even more hilarious.

Plan B.

If you're a pharmacist, and you have a signed note telling you that this person should be getting a Pill, you should have to give some out.

Assuming I'm against giving out Penecillin, would it be okay not to give it out?

Do pharmacists have licenses or anything of that nature? His should be stripped away.

If he was the only pharmacist in town I could see it being an issue. Personally I think the guy's a fucking idiot for even bringing it up. If you have a problem with it, instead of shouting on the mountaintops about sinners, just tell the lady that your going to have this other pharmacist fill the prescription.

I imagine it's revived by today's story that Blagojevich (I typed that from memory!) says he didn't know that the Daily Show was a news spoof program.

I'm undecided on who I'll vote for in the Illinois election for governor. I'm not exactly thrilled with Blagojevich but his likely Republican opponent is Topinka. She's a social moderate which I can dig but she hasn't shown me any great reasons to vote for her either. That and she reminds me of the chain-smoking sisters from The Simpsons.

He may not have been aware he was on a comedy show, but to his credit, he seemed to quickly recognize the guy as not being sincere.

The "are you teasing me?" and "you gotta ask Schwarzenegger on that one" lines.

I never saw the show in question -- just regurgitating from today's AP wire.

How dare the government make a moral judgement over you. You're the one supposed to be doing that for the woman!
