Another thing to think about is they may not care if you have the cats, but they refuse to return your security deposit when you leave.

There was no security deposit, just a non-refundable cleaning deposit. So no worries there.

Rental property question #1.

Do you allow cats?

No?

Scratch said property off the list of prospective new homes and it's never an issue. There are always plenty of nice rental properties that do allow cats.

Our apartment complex has a 1 cat per unit limit. I slipped up with the landlady while chatting & mentioned the cat(s). She just wagged her finger at me and scolded. If it would have become an issue, we'd just move. I liked the cats more than the apartment.

I would have a tough time balancing with tits myself. I have no idea how you ladies do it. Not only would the throw the center of gravity off, they would be distracting as hell.

Our center of gravity is lower. Helps with the baby bellies, as well.

I always thought teachers that failed children for not dissecting things were idiots. Unless you're studying a specialized science track, I don't see the point. You should be able to opt out and do another project of similar effort for the same credit.

As for cats, I'd sneak yours in and see how it goes. Or give it to Joph. He hearts them.

There actually aren't that many decent ones around here. Remember: semi-small town. We just couldn't pass this one up for the price, either. And if we get caught, there are some rescue shelters here, and I wouldn't feel quite so bad about giving them up to one of those.

Owner's appeal over cat's 26 toes

They say cats have nine lives - so meet Des, who has 26 toes.

While most pet cats have 18 - five on their front paws and four on their rear - the 10-year-old boasts seven on his front and six on his back paws.

The extra digits have left owner Alison Thomas, of Felindre, near Swansea, pondering whether it is a UK record.

One expert said cats with extra toes were common in the area around the old county of Cardiganshire and were sometimes known as "Cardi-cats".

A cat with too many toes is called a Polydactyl.
