Hubby and I just moved into a much nicer place. Only trouble is, they don't allow cats and we have two. The cats are currently still at our old place (we still have a few more little things to get out) and we're running over there every day to make sure they're fed. But we can't do this forever, and I don't know what to do.

We can sneak them into our new place and hope we're not found out, or we'll have to take them to the shelter, where they will most likely be put to sleep. We've checked all over and we can't find anyone to take them. Smiley: frown

I hate these kinds of decisions.

Had that problem with my girlfriends cat.

We snuck him in. 1 month later found out the building manager doesnt give a rats ***. It is a shame cause her cat is an evil little *******.

If you have access to a garbage bag, some rope a rock and a body of water, you could play a fun game of kitty submarine. They LOVE that game. Be sure to throw a pile of catnip in the bag and they will be complacent.

Hope that helps you in your time of need. *huggles*

We have 2 cats and we are not supposed to.

They won't kick you out for having them, if they catch you, then you have to worry.

this shouldn't even be an issue IMO.

Do you love your cats? Do you want them to die?

solly,
I'm a cat lover

In Dallas there are several no kill shelters. Is there nothing like that in your area Nadenu?

Other than that, not sure what else you can do.

That is tough. When we first got our cats, we were in an apartment that allowed them, but you had to pay extra. We never told them we had them and no one ever found out.

It would be so hard to give them up.

Oh, a coworker told me yesterday that supposedly petsmart will not put animals to sleep. They will continue to take care of them until someone wants them. You might look into that, I'm not sure what their criteria is for taking homeless cats.

Yeah, I figure the worst they can do is tell us we have to get rid of them. And they are really good cats... they don't claw or **** in the corners, they don't cry or run rampant through the house (much). They are really sweet and we've had them longer than our son (who is much more trouble, btw.)

If they catch you, you have a fine to worry about. If you don't care to pay the fine, just sneak them in.

I know I would.

We had the same situtation. We snuck the cat in and were fine for a few months, then the lady that cleaned the hallways heard a meow and turned us in.

We talked with the landlord, he was a jerk, we had to move the cat to my mom's house until we could get out of our lease.

**** luck :( It's a tough decision.

Hopefully we never have to move, as we have way to many pets to move around, 5 cats and 6 dogs.

My husband said he found a couple of places like that around here. So if we don't feel too comfortable sneaking them in, we could call those places.

Depending on their size, you might be able to cook em (one at a time, likely) in a 6 qt. crockpot. Or roasted like a chicken.

The other day I myself vowed that I'd never let our cats starve - I'd make sure to feed them enough that they're nice and plump for cooking.

No kill shelter? I never heard of such a thing.

What the heck do they do with all the animals? Stock pile them?

When I was in grade 11 biology we had to dissect a cat.

Apparently all the cats provided were bought from Animal Shelters. Some company goes around buys the corpses. Packages them up and sells them for research.

Bring them to a farm and let them go.

They can be free. It's what our soldiers fight for.

They dig a deep pit, throw the cats in and leave them to their own devices.

Same. Our cat was completely skinned except for the paws, so we named it "mittens."

The freezer it was stored in broke down overnight (the smell was fabulous), so we cancelled the second day of dissection.

Did any of the cats have maggot infestations? That would have been pimp.

Our cats came with fur. They were in formaldehyde.

It was nasty. I have to admit I am a cat person. I had a talk with the teacher about it and he said. You can do it and pass or not do it and fail. I skipped out the entire practical part of the experience and spent my time at the beach which was a 10 min walk from the school.

I managed to ace mid term, final exam and everything else in the course to get a 51% which was good enough for a pass. First kid in the class who opted out of it and passed.

I'll take at least one puss off your hands, if you need. But I might kill it, if you ask nice. Seriously, sneak 'em in, cats are not so hard to hide, as long as they are indoor kitties.

In our highschool we disected small dinosaurs (Rana catesbeiana) and fish. The fish were in formaldehyde (eww). I was hoping for a cat or a calf.

Edit: Forgot, we also disected dew worms.

You could make them fight to the death. If you record the whole thing, you could sell the tape for money and buy an even nicer place that allows cats.

Same here. Me and my GF got a place and kinda snuck in her cat. We then got another cat. Months and months go by when we finally told the manager. She could care less and had 2 cats of her own. It was the actual owners of the 12+ developement properties (500+ units) that cared. Needless to say Im sure they will never find out.

So yeah, sneak em in, if they say something play dumb and I am sure they won't kick you out without a warning.

Best of luck.
