WoW Allakhazam Forum Poster IntroductionFollow

#127 Feb 21 2006 at 10:13 PM Rating: Decent
Introduce yourself

1. Where are you from?
California, on the edge of the Mojave desert.

2. How old are you?
63 (going on 14, according to my wife)

3. Liberal, Conservative or sick of em both?
Liberal, no doubt about it. I have never even thought of voting Republican. I've been a campaign worker in the past. Lately, I've been a poll worker.

4. What MMO's have you played?
UO and WoW. I quit UO after less than 1 month of playing (years ago) after being PK'd many, many times. That was enough to turn me off MMOs until I was introduced to WoW.

5. Who is your favorite Asylum poster?
I've never been here before. How the hell would I have a favorite?

6. Tell me your best joke/story
Quote:
One day, President Bush visited an elementary school. All the kids were so excited to get to meet the President. He began to talk to them and asked them to define the word ''tragedy.''
"Well," one girl replied, "If my mommy ran over my dog, Rover, that would be a tragedy!"

The President smiled at the little girl and said, "No, sweetie. That would be an accident! Can anyone give it a try?"

A little boy sitting across the room raised his hand and said, "I know! I know! If our bus driver ran off of a cliff and killed everyone!"

The President shook his head and said, "No son. That would be a great loss! Doesn't anyone know of a good example of a tragedy?"

A small girl raised her hand and said, "Well, Mr. President, if you and Laura were in Air Force One and it was hit by a missile and blown to smithereens, most people would think that that was a tragedy!"

"Very good," he said. "And what was your reason for that answer?"

"Well," she said, "It would not be an accident and it sure would not be a great loss!"
7. Wombats. Yes or No?
yes.
Quote:
If a person happens to put their hand down a Wombat hole, the Wombat will feel the disturbance and think "Ho! My hole is collapsing!" at which it will brace its muscled legs and push up against the roof of its burrow with incredible force, to prevent its collapse. Any unfortunate hand will be crushed, and attempts to withdraw will cause the Wombat to simply bear down harder. The unfortunate will then bleed to death through their crushed hand as the wombat prevents him from seeking assistance. This is considered the third most embarrassing known way to die, and Australians don't talk about it much.

Great, a thread devoted to making The Asylum even more #12 than it already is. Maybe later we can all hold hands and sing to each other. Way to go Bodhi. Smiley: disappointed

Smiley: laugh In one thread we've approached the topics of abortion, the death penalty, gun control, the Iraq war, rights of homosexuals, evolution, Gitmo, Immigrants and Wombats, any of which could have spiraled this thing off into deep tangents of potentially volatile discussion, yet:

Hey fuck off mister! I've quit EQ and I'm fighting tooth and nail to stay away from WoW. Between you bastards here and the people at work that play I feel my resistance wearing thin. I don't need a giant influx of WoW posters storming the forum serving as a constant reminder of the time-sink I'm trying to avoid! Smiley: motz

You haven't approached anything that could have sparked an actual debate with this thread. This has been a friendly Q&A session where everyone just filled in the blanks.

Volitile discussion comes available when someone makes a thread like "OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!11 ABORTION IS MURDER!!!!" or some such other strong opinion, rather than this friendly little ballot that doesn't promote the discussion of ideas as much as simply putting your opinion into the box.

So, if it doesn't start with a pigheaded, dogmatic statement it doesn't "promote discussion". I see.

No moran, if it doesn't do more than complete a fill-in-the-blank requirement, it doesn't promote discussion. The entire purpose of this thread wasn't to discuss people view's on strong topics, but merely to get those opinions as a way of introduction.

As long as we're agreed then. You keep saying stupid shit and I'll keep calling you a fucktard.

Or you could just admit that you were wrong.

My inherent dislike for anything or anyone not familiar is warring with my sweaty man-love for all things Futurama.

1. Where are you from?

Colorado. Discuss!

2. How old are you?

26 years old. How fucking controversial!

3. Liberal, Conservative or sick of em both?

I love Bush, though I disapprove of many of my president's idears. That's a pu[/blue]ssy joke!

4. What MMO's have you played?

I don't see how that matters here.

5. Who is your favorite Asylum poster?

I rather like this one.

6. Tell me your best joke/story

In place of my best story, I'll substitute one which comes to mind: I once had a sinus infection which caused an unbearable headache anytime I ejaculated. The ol' lady friend was shocked when I unlinked from her and dropped to the floor, twitching like Michael J Fox and squirting my baby juice here and there. After several more attempts at non-migraine inducing coitus, I went to the doctor. Enjoy!

7. Wombats. Yes or No?

I'd have to say yes, as I frequently hear myself asking: Where the [red]womb at
?

Did I get the job?

Amazing how everyone put "sick of both" for the political question. Take a stand you pus sies.

Or I guess you'd all rather cop-out, attempt to make yourself seem like a unique snowflake that's too cool for labels.

Hell, in this place your conservatives nearly don't exist. The largest Christian party is just as conservative as the US Democrats.
The Liberals here are 80% rich ******* trying to make the rich richer due to tax lowering.
The Social Democrats are just fine to me. Just as open minded as the Libs but now they stand up for the avarage guy.

Political thingys

1. Homosexuality.

a) Right

2. Evolution

c) The truth

3. Gitmo/Abu Ghraib Abuses

c) international disgrace

4. Immigrants

c) As long as they don't shoot other people I'm fine with everyone.

5. Abortion

a) A womans right
