And I walked outside at -1 Fahrenheit and realized what the Ben Folds meant when he sung about "the smell of cold."

Pussy! Smiley: lol -24 here with the wind chill factor.

Frigid here in Colorado Springs, too. Pipes are bursting in what is a year-old building, and three times today and once yesterday all employees were forced to evacuate. So it's so very cold that pipes are bursting, causing the need to evacuate, and we're all huddled outside in the elements which caused the emergency in the first place. I could kick Jack Frost in the nuts.

And the smell of cold is most assuredly frozen snot.

Fprozen pipes? In Canada you learn to have heat at 50 degrees for any room that has pipes that's not used. Also, part of the Fall chores is to drain any outside lines of water so they don't freeze. Nubs.

The weather up here has been alternating between 5F (-15F), and 45F with 25-30mph winds. On successive days.

On the 5F days my moustache geta frost when I go to the store.

Hell, last week we had our first day of winter here in Minnesota. -4F for the high, wind chills overnight were in the -35F range. Makes giving up smoking attractive. Fortunately, when the temp drops I have a trusty can of Kodiak to pull out. :)
