Olympic Opening CeremoniesFollow

Listening to Luciano Pavarotti sing after Peter Gabriel's rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine" allowed the two musical art forms to be compared side by side. Let's just say that kids these days have no idea what good music is. He was absolutely moving.

The Formula One Ferrari race car doing donuts seemed out of place but was kind of cool.

Any other critiques?

Up until two nights ago, I had no idea where Torrino(sp) was. Now that I see it (on TV, of course) it's a beautiful place.

It would be even more beautiful if your girlfriend hadn't left you.

That's no good. All that's really needed is something to pass the time. An hour, a day, a week. Hell, in my case, it's going to be something like 3 months.

I thought the Italians did a pretty good job....

Save for the weird dancing guy with the three foot mohawk, and the rope climbing condoms that eventually formed the symbol of peace... I think they were going for a dove.

Peter Gabriel did a song for the opening ceremony? Anyone know where I can get a video of that? Big Gabriel fan, saw his lastest tour, which was SPECTACULAR!!!
Thanks in advance.

P.S. Tried google, but as said before by others, I fail at the interweb.

If you're a Gabriel fan, you probably don't want the video. It was really not one of his better moments. He sang John Lennon's Imagine, badly. Well, when you could hear him it was bad, when the other singers were drowning him out, it was fairly tolerable.
