Yup. Even when I was a crazy pregnant lady, I never once got to the point of saying that I would paralyze someone, haha.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not the fighter type at all. I'm quite the tolerant person, but there is something about a man beating on a woman that boils me to no end.

Paralysis was a little exagerated, but I would wanna hurt him badly. Smiley: mad

It sucks that you got in a fight and it does sound like the guy is crazy and/or on drugs but...

the girl wouldn't let us call the police because the **** was her boyfriend

Your duty here is to report this man to the police immediately, not to keep his girlfriend happy.

This is probably not the best idea. You have already demonstrated that you and 3 other guys are not able to restrain this man. If had had wanted, there is a good chance this weapon would have been his. He is the crazed attacker here and you don't know what all he is capable of doing. If you are going to pull a knife, you need to be trained and prepared to use it to kill or severely disable him if he decides to proceed with his attack. I doubt this is what you intended. It sounds like you were just trying to scare him away and you got lucky and it worked. The smarter thing to do would have been to lock yourself inside and call the police.

I understand that he had done some extremely violent things to you guys, but there was a point where what he had done was over, everyone was ok, and he had left. This would have been a perfect time to go inside, lock the doors, call the police.

I'm not trying to pick on you because you were definitely in a bad situation and it is hard to know how you will react when put in that scenario. But, I do think you could have made much better decisions here.

When I was in highschool I was the smartass/class clown type. We were sitting in the Cafeteria killing time one day. The resident school body builder was chatting it up, this guy had broken a mans jaw with one punch on more than one occassion. He made some weak *** joke about me having ****. Now I knew the guy and knew he had a very large collection of health/fitness/muscle magazines so I mentioned why he had those under his bed. He froze and it was a complete "bam" moment, everyone laughed.

The body builder did not. I saw a look of pure rage. I fucking ran like Ben Johnson on steroids that day. I remember rounding a corner in the hall and a teacher yelling at me for running, then when he saw who was chasing me he was like "run for your life". He didnt catch me.

I'm still friendly with the guy to this day but I now am more reserved with my jokes or at least make sure I have a headstart before I make one.

Ben Johnson on Steroids = Gold Medal

Meh, I am not your typical female. I have a really good story about when my ex husband and I split, but I cant help but bust out laughing trying to repeat it now. Lets just say he did not get his **** back and I'd have hated to have been the one to find the refrigerator full of food with its cord cut a few days later.

IN REPLY TO ATOMIC FLEA...it depends in what state you are in. In most states, the police just have to suspect domestic abuse( being a grilfriend, that would obviously qualify) and from what the Op posted, it seems as if it qualifies here.

As a former CHP, I would tell the Op to definatley call the police. Without over doing it, this punk would be on his way to jail, no questions asked.

One last thing, Atomicflea, it is not true the "punch for a punch". You have the right to do what is prudent to assure your own personal safety. At least, that is what we were taught.

The girl needs to get to a doctor. Having your head slammed into a brick wall can do some serious subcranial damage. The force of the brain slamming around the inside of the skull can cause blood vessels to break. She could seem fine for days but slowly have pressure building inside the skull.

You got lucky that he walked away. The fact that you armed yourself AFTER a prior confrontation could have serious legal ramifications should you have stabbed him, or worse killed him.

A fist fight is one thing and unless you have a history, officers/the courts may dismiss it as “mutual combat.” Once you start using knives, bats, or other weapons you will likely be spending some time in jail.

Probably, but it might also be a good idea to question Red's innocence in this whole thing too. He could have been provoking the guy earlier. Not that it would justify what the guy did or anything, but something to consider. We don't really know what Red was doing before this all got started.

So we turned around and ripped him off of Red, but the kid broke loose and nailed Red again across the face. We went to grab him and ended up all getting a little roughed up (he was a big guy, probobly some football jock). So we manage to get Red back inside their house at the time, while the guy's girlfriend is screaming at him to stop. He freaking turns, punches the one girl who'd been with Red outside their house, and then takes his girlfriend and slams her head into the brick wall.

It sounds as if the man was on roids. He sounded emotionally unstable and extremely aggressive. If he is willing to do such a thing to his girl then he's got to have a ***** loose too. I would have called the cops. I bet he would have popped on some sort of drug test.

Ya it's never a good idea to be nailing your roid-rager neighbor's girlfriend.

Red's dead baby. Red's dead.

my 3 brothers and i were the few white people who grew up in a predominatly black neibhor hood.

fist fights? oh, about 3 or 4 a month. couldnt walk down the steet alone and not get punched. had to walk to the bathroom in school with a teacher or in twos or threes.

hell, one of my friends in fourth grade, a Black kid named tom, just jumped up in the middle of class and started pounding on me. he was old enough to start learning about racizm, and his bigger brother was making sure he learned with a vengence.

something i learned. call the police every time. also, when you get confronted, and you know your going to have your **** handed to you, MAKE SURE you cause him some real pain. make sure he understands thumping his chest has a price. the throat the groin. kidneys. eyes. and keep after them. make sure he understands you WILL kill him if you can.

they tend to leave you alone after the first one you blind or send to a hospitol with a collapsed throat.

He knew what his nieces and nephews would eventually end up calling him, and he had to start early to stop that nonsense before it even got started.
