Gamer dating....Follow

Hello all,

Since the dawn of gaming I think the goal of every hardcore gamer has been to find someone that not only tolerates, but enjoys gaming as much as you do. Some have found that, others are still looking, and many of us have just plain given up.

Well I have taken things a step further and created a website with gamer dating in mind, the name is Gamerdating.net. I created this site in the hopes of making a place where us gamers can chat with members of the opposite sex and generally have a good time. Naturally leaving all the gaming stratedgy to the sites who know what they are going. Even if dating isn't in your mindset, I wanted to make a place where gamers can talk in general about the gaming life, unlike with many of the forums we visit we talk very specific about certain games etc.

I am not some business guy or anything like looking to make a cash cow, but a hardcore gamer with a little extra money to play with. My credentials are.....mainly I play FFXI, got mad addicted to it when I got the PS2 harddrive, which at the time, buying FFXI was the only way to get a harddrive. I wanted one for Socom maps, but honestly haven't played much Socom since :) I am currently a level 70 Warrior and just getting into God and HNM hunting, which is rather cool IMO. Just got ahold of a X-box 360, and all I can say is Need For Speed Underground is just sick on a High Def TV, just sick I tell ya. I post on the Alla FFXI forums from time to time, so drop in and say hi.

The site is still kind of a work in progress, so bear with me a bit. But most of the design is mine, and I am kind of proud of it, using templates of course.

So basically I am here to promote the site and get some feedback. Some friends said I should come in under another user or something and try to casually mention the site but that just seems stupid to me. I made the site, why not be proud of it right.

So please swing in and check it out, and drop me a message with any suggestions or whatnot. This is my first venture in this type of thing so let me know of any bugs or changes you can find/think of. Naturally it is free to create a profile, browse as much as you want. I got the prices set at $10 a month if you want to contact people, which seems fair to me, paying $25 or more to talk to people just seems retarded to me. I am hoping to get as many gamers as I can to create some profiles and have the site hopping in no time.

I don't really come to this forum much, I tend to stick to my FFXI forum.

Please explain the Deja Vu comment,a nd the rolling eyes? Has this been mentioned before on here and not ended well? Do you just not find the idea a good one?

I seriously came here for some input from fellow gamers, even if they are in the form of snide comments.

And like I said, it is just started and not many profiles made yet.

Didn't mean to step on any toes here, just seemed like a good forum to speak up in.

I will try to post a duplicate in the OOT forums and see if it is taken any better.

And honestly I would like some feedback from the married and dating gamers out there as well. I mean just cause you are taken doesn't mean you can't make an opinion about something.

And who is this "Tare" and do I have a shot?

There are 3 women on there within 500 miles of me, oddly enough, one of them lives in the same pissant little city I do, and she's somewhat attractive. I think that site is fixed.

Hrm, the only woman 18-30 within 100 miles of me is a 30 year old Mormon who drinks socially (??).

Luckily, I'm already claimed.

Dating websites, pfffft! I prefer to meet my men the old fashioned way, in a nice little hut in the Misty Thicket!

I think I found the perfect person for Exo. Look at the name and location. It is definitely a match made in heaven.

Apparently there isn't a female gamer in California, Or at least within 100 miles of me. When I searched within 250 miles I got someone from Utah. Mormons scare me.
