He either was watching the Discovery channel for nine hours again or he got some acid. Both coincidentally have the same effects.

That's what I was thinking. The Disc. Channel show on multiple universes and unified string theory was on last night - I watched it (for like the 5th time) while making dinner.

Which could mean many things. My guess is that he watched it last night, then dropped a few hits and hasn't been able to sleep since. He's probably been watching Star Trek for the last six hours Smiley: yikes

Is there a study I missed that showed that the "Big Bang" is actually Time Zero in the Grand Scheme of Reality? Maybe the universe -- and all the matter and forces within it -- have always existed, and it is only a question of how said matter and forces are distributed throughout the endless void.

In either case, there is still nothing fundamentally special about the process of thinking, be it on a behavioral or a neuronal level.

/nod

ummm, well according to common science, the Big Bang created Space AND Time... and thus everything withing the universe would be on the same side of an event horizon....

so, yeah, I think you missed that one.

as far as "Thought" goes... think of "Thought" as a conglomeration of Observation and Memory, and then think again how that would corralate with an observer manipulating the potential super-positioning of the fabric of Space-Time.

It's not that complicated.

Well, as proven by you kelv, common sense isnt so common. Your making a big assumption that any intelligent person would consider the big bang the "beginning" of space and time. Your still stuck in creationism, please dig yourself out.

it's all opinion, because neither of us can really know.

but I just think we can and you think that we can not.

Don't worry. I am growing bored with this. There's only so much you can say the same thing over and over again.
