I'd rather sit here and read an entire post of someone critiquing my vernacular, belittling my grammar and destroying my mediocre at best flaming ability than to have to see another "hi i'm here" thread with a fu[b][/b]cking dead bunny it. I would prefer a series of increasingly painful direct shots to the old twig and berries.

I've never really seen the point of intro posts on message boards. If you've got a question and say something like "Hi, I'm new. Do any of you know..." or something, yeah fine, there's a point. But just posting that you're new for the sake of saying you're new is inane. People will know when you post if they have never seen your name before.

Rather than modestly making thoughtful replies to existing topics and slowly working your way into the forum's collective consciousness, you chose to jump out on stage and yell "Hey, look at me! I have nothing to say but I'm making a scene anyway!"
